What is your first name? I hate my first name! I'm not telling anyone!! !
Age: 19
Location: Massachusetts
Hobbies and Interests: The net, reading (laregly Stephen King), writing (prose and poetry), psychology and school (I'm a psych major entering my junior year nest semester), and cats.
Why are you here? Boredom.
When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): 13-14, not "officially" diagnosed, but I was in a residential treatment center for 1.5 years where they really thought I had it, but there was a taboo against diagnosing minors.
Favorite subjects: Psychology, currently
Year/Grade: As I said, junior in college.
Favorite music: Adult Alternative, though a friend of mine it turning me on to metal.
Books: Books by: Douglas Adams, Erma Bombeck, Robert Cormier, Helen Fielding, Torey Hayden, Stephen King, Richard Ledderer, C.S. Lewis, John Saul, William Sleator, and many others. But the greatest of these is Stephen King.
TV shows/Movies: Movies: 28 days, 28 Days Later, A Beautiful Mind, Clue, Cruel Intentions, Dogma, Fight Club, Good Morning Vietnam, Girl Interrupted, Hitch, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Signs, The Sixth Sense, The Terminal, and many others. TV shows: Whatever's on.
Instrument: My cynical, sarcastic sense of humor. It can be an instrument! It's an instrument of communication!
Do you like sports? If so, which ones?: No, but I played basketball in high school. And sucked. But that's OK, I did it to lose weight.
Family: Yes. A mom, a biological dad, an adoptive deadbeat dad that gave me PTSD from physical/emotional abuse, the boyfriend my mom is leaving, and various grandparents/extended family. And pretty much all of them have some mental disorder (this is not just first year medical student stuff! They really do!)
Clothing: Casual, comfortable, low-maintenance. And obsessively clean.
How did you find this website? I'd heard about it before but the AS community on LJ linked there today and I figured what the heck, I'll check it out.
Job: Student, and incompetant work-study clerical gofer. I also get paid by the US government to have "severe emotional disturbance." The money I would make from a regular job would be subtracted from this. So, I don't work a summer job. Go beaurocracy!
Plans for the future? I want to be a therapist; grad school, then job.
Any comments? Uh.... hi?
