hi! i'm new and i figure this would be a good first post. eh?

What is your first name? rather not give it yet. still nervous, shy, blah blah whatever

Why are you here? i want to learn more about asperger's syndrome and autism, and maybe interact with some interesting people while i'm at it.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): over the last five years different doctors have diagnosed me with a combination of AS, ADHD, manic depression, uhhh, OCD, but i'm starting to think some of these guys were just bored at work and wanted to diagnose me with some stuff for fun

Why are you here? After the RDOS and Wired AQ tests, it seems I may have ASD (and finally some answers)

Why are you here? I have been able to cope most of my life and found that suddenly in the past few months I have had just one trauma and dramatic life change too many. I'm hoping to be able to find new ways of managing.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I was diagnosed with something in 1st grade. I forget the specifics but it was basically a long collection of alphabet diagnosis. College found the doctors cluing in. First opinion of AS was ten years ago with a confirming diagnosis five years ago.

Favorite subjects: History, English, Religion

Year/Grade: College graduate returning to grad school

Favorite music: I will listen to about anything but prefer more soothing and repetitive sounds/

Books: Yes. please. I will read anything. Patricia Cornwell and other more involved forensic novels, along with nonfiction, are my favorites.

Books: Love them. Stephen King and Gregory Maguire are among my favorite authors, but there are too many others to list them all
