Good things: I'm great with words, written language and fiction writing generally, i've allways had a talent for it. I remember random facts and useless, but interesting, pieces of information(well i thnk they're interesting anyway) I never get bored.

Bad things: I always feel apart from the people around me. I find social interaction confusing and draining and i often get it wrong. People think i'm 'weird'.

Some of my traits don't seem to be positive or negative, so here are just two random facts:
I've always walked on my toes.
I have prosopagnosia (face-blindness).

Good Evening. I am Dionysius, as my username and signature suggest.
i have what my sugarcoating mother termed "very very mild hardly any at-all asperger syndrome". am teenage; hence, my moods are unpredictable. but they are always
either rage, irritation, abject depression or just a lack of emotion in general.
i have been modding games lately but have been getting very tired of corresponding with fellow modders on collaborative projects. i find myself at a complete loss for something to say in a conversation, and sometimes i say something and it is thought to be a joke despite its seriousness. i constantly analyze everthing, try to script out conversations before they happen.
i dont put any effort into anything, never study but do average.
maths results are not for the faint of heart, however in subjects i am interested in (art, english and history) i am doing very well. physical education... well, i have obstinately opted out of every non-essential activity and half ass my way through mandatory ones.
i very seldom smile; this is often commented upon. i am very pedantic, as well.
someone asks me who someones name is, i tell them and inform them of any unusual spelling in said name. whenever informing an american or other foreigners of a slang word or gaelic word i spend quite a long time describing its pronunciation (this is via e-mail). i think of things as images, and sometimes i hear someone talking and it appears as text with italics, bold print and symbols used as tone of voice. as you can see here i am very verbose in writing.

I cannot use someone's name when I'm talking to them. Well, I can, but it's unbearably awkward. If I want to get someone's attention, it's "hey, you!" or nothing. And FORGET nicknames.

I have a really good sense of smell.

He was born to a family of Gorillas, thrown in a volcano because they rejected him, spewed out, fossilised for a few thousand years, dug up then flung into space because the archeologists rejected him, he then proceeded to make every ounce of dust and energy in the universe to run away from him in fear, causing the universe to implode, and had to live with it.

Poor guy.

Ha yet another topic spoiled by you two fools, keep it in the PM please.

ANYWAY, fact about myself: For some weird reason, when I cry tears only come out of one eye (or at most a minimal ammount in the other).

Fact about my AS: It's made me witty and quick (I can think on my toes and multi-task - like monitoring eye contact and body language etc. and keeping it to a 'normal' level), but has made me devoid of any interest in socialising at all (I have NO idea why this is!). It seems that you either lack the sills and strive for friendships or have them and don't care about them (in my case). :?

I can remember anything. Any type of data, whether it's sound, image, touch, smell or taste. I can even remember every thought that I have had ever since I was 3 years old.

It DOES have a downside though...
Like every time you experience something, there's this unstoppable chain of thoughts. Like, I hear the wind blowing, and I think of at least 12 songs that begin with wind sounds, or every day in my life that I have heard the wind blow.

Oh well... I guess knowing more than 200.000 songs forwards and backwards can still be very amusing... Don't have to buy an mp3-player for christmas (or any other holiday.)

Although I could never catch a ball if my life depended on it, years of obsession have made me into a reasonably talented dancer. So I do not fit the 'clumsy oaf' criteria for AS. :D

Good Fact: My AS was diagnosed when I was 4, because my parents were trying to figure how how a mostly non-verbal child was reaqding dictionaries and math books. Since two of my Aunt Nadiri's kids are AS, (they're 2 and 5 years older than me) she volunteered to home-school me with her kids. I got my GED by 12 and started at our local community college that spring. So in that case, AS was good to me.

Weird fact: Math calms me. If you look at my journal entries, you'll see days where the entries are nothing but advanced geometric proofs and symbolic logic problems. Then there's the days that start out maths and then when I've calmed down somewhat, they turn verbal, in a seemingly unconnected and stream-of-conscious sort of way.

Bad Fact: Apparently I dream in symbolic logic and mathematic proofs! Seriously, my sweetie once taped what I was saying when I was talking in my sleep and I was doing something incredibly complicated and talking through it, like you do when you're making a proof.

Hmm...

- I'm a human jukebox. I have hundreds of keywords that, if I hear them, I'll have to sing at least one verse, or the chorus, of the song(s) I associate with that particular keyword, and I get very irate if someone interrupts me.

- I hate odd numbers, although I'm not scared of them anymore. I'd rather have 2 of something good than 3, because 2 is even. As a kid, I would have to take any odd number I encountered and make sums with it until it was even (just doubling it wasn't enough... eg 3 + 3 = 6, but 3,3,6 is three numbers, and 6 + 3 = 9, still odd).

Two facts, even though the topic only asked for one :P My bad.
