Interests I engaged in today:
- Anime (watched Fairy Tail, Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos)

Interests I engaged in yesterday:
- More x-men comic reading

Interests that have been a while:
- Coin/stamp collecting

Can't think of any interests that have "left", they always phase in and out. I like to collect new interests by declaring I'm having a "theme" period for something that I know very little about but would like to. I then learn as much as I can about this new thing for a couple weeks to a couple months. Sometimes it'll turn out to be a life altering interest.

Past Interests:

Harry Potter (2001-2007)
I loved the books, but was never really a fan of the films. Lost interest once I had read the final book
Star Wars (2003-2005)
I was obsessed with Star Wars until the release of the final film. Since that day I have never really returned to the same level of interest.
Michael Jackson (2005-2008)
I was hooked by his music for most of my late teens. I knew all his songs, lyrics, albums and had posters DVD's etc in my room. When I moved to uni my music taste changed.
Cadets (2006-2007)
I was a member of the ATC. Was bullied out of the squadron.
Field Hockey (2006-2009)
I was goalie and vice captain for the school team. Stopped playing when I went to university.
Brass Bands (2005-2011)
I used to love playing in Brass Bands in my late teens, but unfortunately a combination of band cliques and ex girlfriends been members ended my love of this.
Choir Singing (2007-2010)
I sang with choirs at local and regional level, but stopped as I had lost interest again.
Pole Dancing (2010-2012)
I did Pole Dancing in university and competed in a competition. I stopped as I could not cope with hormonal girls arguing constantly.

Current Interests:

Rugby (2000-2012)
Once won player of the year. Played for club, county and in uni.
American Football (2008-2012)
Played Madden frequently and played for my uni in my freshman year.
Star Trek (2008-2012)
Became a hardcore Trekkie for life in 2008. Have every DS9 and TNG episode on DVD
West Coast Rap (2006-2012)
Be it Eminiem, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg to Tupac, rap has had me hooked since I was young.
Jazz (2003-2012)
Performed with the NYJW and play Jazz Trumpet every day.
Lord of the Rings (2002-2012)
Loved the books films and games to this day.

Have a love hate relationship with Dr Who. Right now I love it.
Drama/Musicals (2005-2012)
Be it watching or taking part, I am still the amateur thespian at heart!

If you're willing to put up with the inconvenience (and can find a proxy that works!), you can watch British TV as shown in the UK. I must admit to watching BBC World News whilst on holiday outside the UK but I wouldn't choose it if I had more choice. :)

Most of my Interests come in and out of favour:

Birdwatching... normally during the winter this really takes hold...
Buying Classic Cars, January seems to be the month I have real problems... The short days and long nights cause me to search for a new project.
Bonsai Trees, I have been growing them for years but the obsession comes and goes, in the low points I just keep them alive, in the high points I am trimming, wiring, repotting, looking for new trees...
Stamps I have a collection but not looked at it for years, I know it will come back with a vengance..
Everquest I am hopefully never becoming obsessed with this again.. robbed me of too much time..

I am currently into Classic Cars, I spent today cleaning 40 years of oil off the underside of a 1969 landrover !
Bloody loved it 8)

My interests.. Mhhh...
Movies and TV would be the biggest ones.

Favourite Movies: The Amityville Horror, Silent Hill, Source Code, Shaun of the dead, Dawn of the dead, Hot Fuzz, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Harry Potter Series, The Twilight Saga, 21 Jump Street, Dead Silence, Holes, Insidious, The Final Destination Series, The Awakening.

TV: Doctor Who, Waterloo Road, Survivors, Britains Got Talent, Walking Dead, Torchwood, Dexter, Would I lie to you?, Never mind the buzzcocks, Mock the week, little Britain

I also like music. I'm trying to learn how to play guitar.
I'm a big fan of video games, although I get wayy to obsessed with them, so I'm trying my hardest not to play them.
I've now been off video games for about.. 3 weeks, which is nice.

Favourite Videogames: Call of Duty (2, MW1, World at war, MW2, MW3 - Blackops and COD 3 is terrible.)
Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto 4, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Terraria, Runescape, Assassins Creed series (Apart from AC 2, pretty terrible to be honest. Lack of effort in the plot, rather generic story line. Could've been more challenging).

-Purple, shiny balls (he he I said balls). They must always be purple, shiny and metallic, and normally come from souvenir shops. I collect them and I keep them in my room and I love them.
-Harry Potter. I used to spend every lunchtime duelling my best friend (who, thinking about it now, was probably on the spectrum himself) and reading the books. I have a real love/hate relationship with the films though. I think we all do.
-Kingdom Hearts. That's my most current special interest and I NEVER shut up about it. My friends know more about it than most people who have actually played the games because of my constant babbling about it, and some of them actually bother to get involved with it. I assigned all of them KH-based nicknames and a lot of them do actually use them in everyday life (even when I'm not around) so I feel really loved.
-Writing. I write TONNES. Especially humour.
-Doctor Who, probably because of my mum.
-My Chemical Romance. I know, I know, I'm an EMO, they're awful, they've gone mainstream, etc. I know every word to every song on every album and I know several pointless details about their lives, not to mention having the fangirlish conviction that Frank and Gerard should get together.
-I also dabble in Sonic The Hedgehog stuff, although that's more my brother's cup of tea, and I'd like to get into Pokemon when I have the time.
(That's only a short list, by the way :D )
