Favorite type of food?

Carl's Jr. and Hardee's are fast-food places. The names differ by geographical region (called Hardee's in the Midwest and Southeast, and Carl's Jr. in the western states) The thing that made me think they are the same place was a couple years ago, when they aired the racy commercials with Paris Hilton. I read in the news that they were for Carl's Jr. But during the advertising campaign, my family and I rented a beach house in Alabama, and they were showing those same commercials for Hardee's.

The commercials were spoofed in the movie Date Movie.

Also, the signs at the front of the building have the same design (yellow star on a red background with the restaurant name).

They don't have either of them in Houston, but they have them in the Texas Panhandle and around Wichita Falls (using the Carl's Jr. name).

Interesting. I lived around Dallas for 17 years and hadn't noticed either one. They do have Hardee's here in Minnesota, though I've only been to them twice. I wish they had Pancho's up here, the Mexican restaurants here are either too expensive to be worth it, or they stink.
