Mine is just the use of the infamous abbreviation of Asperger Syndrome in a very common sentence of the English language.

Bland-I chose Bland because that is how I feel alot of times and I figured I wouldnt forget it. (not very original, huh?) Also, on the word/association kick, it is similar to Brand who is one of my favorite characters in one of my favorite books, The Chronicles of Amber. Anyone here read it before???

You make it sound so innocent. Mind you, it's not out of context with what's being said to me when I go out in public these days.

Anyway Assassin was originally a name I used once or twice in laser quest (a sorta sport), did well, an decided to stick with it. It spred to online games, and from there to the forums for gaming clans/servers etc. And then I started usin it on other forums as well, eg WP lol

I wanted a username that didn't have an animal in it.

So I made up this somewhat Middle Eastern-sounding word instead.

You mean it's not an alteration of "freak?" That's how I'd always interpreted it.

mine is a a refrence to me being a female fire fighter

Lady= female
Smokeater= a common nickname for firefighters that is in refrence to the old days before SCBA's (Self contained breathing appratus) when firefighters literally tried to hold their breath, or breath the smoke (aka eating smoke) when entering a structure.

ladysmokeater.

Me.

Aylissa is my given name.

My mother gave me three really strange names when I was born (even my last name, it's Dutch and unprounounceable and unspellable) and it REALLY didn't help being an AS kid with names that even the teachers couldn't say. All my life people can't or don't say my name so it makes me even more invisible. Thanks, Mom. The weird thing is that nobody calls me by my real name, I go by another name that some of you know.

I use it for usernames because it's unusual enough that I don't ever have to modify it.

mine is a nod to the neurological issues I have from autism and from celiac disease. i decided I could put a positive spin on it because i am a big superman fan.

hyperman is my alter ego who comes out when my adhd symptoms get a little out of hand. just changed neuro to hyper.

My username is my real nickname, and that's what most people call me. It's a shortened version of my real name.

Wow, I always thought it was just a creative spelling for "freak". It wouldn't have been the first time someone here picked a username that poked fun at themselves.

Well, that too. When I first started using that screen name, my love life was quite, erm, active....and I was partially poking fun at myself for it.

"Nirrti" is the name of a female Goa'uld system lord on my favorite show, "Stargate SG-1". Nirrti is also the name of a Hindu diety who's dark-skinned, from the land of the South and associated with misfortune......oh, kinda like me. 8)

"Rachelle" is actually my middle name which I added on when I created a new account due to me having technical difficulties with the other one.
