That was so beautiful, CC. What a star! What a glorious childhood she is having. Give her a big hug from me!

A good neighbour is one whose floor you could eat off.

Helen and I made up an opera. Neither of us can sing. It went "It only takes a moment to ...do whatever cleaning you are supposed to do. I will spend some time from my next return from the spare room trying to post a photo of her performing our opera. Thank goodness there is no audio.

We always say it is too exhausting rushing around taking all those moments putting everything in its place, and our final scenario is rushing around, puffing and putting everything in it's place...

Chuk, your butt or your face is always welcome here. That widder woman had good taste!

I would love to see that! (What is a "widder woman"?)

After all I had conformed, and I was shy and pious (read depressed and low self esteem) My theme was: We are accepted by God as we are and so we must accept others - but better expressed than that. It was a big revelation that Someone accepted me just as I was. I didn't like myself very much at all!

I've changed a lot from those days, but acceptance of ourselves is a vital step to mental health. You are very wise, O Chairma Lau!

Blessed Mom I was trying to use my American accent. You remember the widow who grabbed Chuck's butt? I'll gleefully retell the story if you forget or missed it!

I know, Nannarob, Chuck is a sweetie and I shouldn't be picking on him. It's just so hard not to.

8O Well, I was just informed by my 14 year old son that I am a b***h and his uncle is right when he says I am a lousy mother! 8O And when I told him to go to his room, he put on his coat and is now out walking the neighborhood at 10:00 at night. 8O

And it all started because I am using my computer for a change and he wanted it. I usually use the laptop upstairs. I told him no, it is a school night and he only gets an hour a day now. I was talking on the phone to my mother at the time and he started saying nasty little things like the reason Kid#3 is grumpy today isn't because he has to get in a new routine, it's because I won't let him to go to a certain high school next year :? . He followed it up with they all hate me because I talk to people I don't know on the computer. (And what do they use Ventrillo for on WoW?!) Apparently it is fine when I sit in my chair and knit or read but talking to people isn't alright!? 8O When I finally told him to get to his room he yelled the B word loud enough for my mother to hear. She said I should slap his face like she did to me, but he is a little bigger than me.
And the husband just sat and yelled at Kid #3 for his attitude about me using the computer and how disrespectful they are of their mother. I suppose he has a point but he has to remember that the last time one of the boys went through being an arse, they moved out and went to live with their dad. I nearly lost it. And the husband blamed me for it!
I know I should be upstairs doing something but I'm not sure what, and I don't know if I can take any more yelling at the moment. How do things go from good to bad in less than an hour?

Well, Merle. I think I was in shock there for a moment! I hear names like that from the husband, but never my own children. I do believe they are learning things I don't want them to learn.

The bonehead did come home. He had the nerve to try to get me to feel sorry him because his life is so hard. He found out life gets much harder when you swear at your mother. He is SSSSOOOOO grounded. And he is so going to be doing chores. Not just because of what he said to me but because of the effect he had on his two brothers. The oldest was stimming something wicked and the youngest one was crying because there was yelling. I could ring his neck!! I must be getting thick skinned. I didn't even have the urge for a smoke this time like I always used to. Or maybe it helps to have a place to write it down before it festers.

Postpaleo, I'm sorry I posted this here. I don't feel like hearing about all the nice ways I could deal with him if I post it in the parents forum. I'm done complaining. They do grow up, right? :?

I don't normally post much but I just wanted to tell you the advice my mom used to give me."If your kids are pissed off at you, it means your doing a good job." Hang in there. :D

I was out of line when I banged the group for venting. I am really sorry, I suppose in a sense I was venting by saying what I did. I thought I had come back on and told you all I was way out of line. I will say it again, I was way out of line. Actually Merle and I were talking on MSN when you needed to say what you did. I brought it to her attention, she can type and talk, I can't. You never have need to say you're sorry to me....yet. No one died and made me king in here.

Do they grow up? Hell I never did, that should make it all better. They do tend to calm down a bit, but they can be a serious pain in the ass even after they figure out how to reproduce. I didn't tell them about sex, someone must have. I'm still hunting them down. 8O
