Robyn...could you edit my post so that it makes sense?I think I may lose some credability with all the spelling and grammer errors.

Krex, I want to be the first to tell you that I think this is an amazing idea and well worth waiting for. I had no clue you were going in this direction. Would it be adult content or family oriented? You must be very excited about this. I would love to be a contributor and wouldn't mind volunteering some of my time to help get it started. You go, Aspie girl.

Thanks for the support CC.I would love your help(how are your executive skills?)I guess I would say it would lean towards familys(with adults?gotta cover all the bases  ).I have a personal aversion to smute(not reflected by my own past life choices, but certainly influenced by them...yowww).I would love to see kids contibute their own writing and art, crafts, obsessions, etc.Goodness knows, the "professional community"has been speaking for them for long enough.Lets give them a voice and chance to be heard without an adult hushing them up.Adults with AS are even more over looked,as we well know here.I would love to see our magazine fall into the "unsuspecting hands" of someone who has had AS their whole lives and is currently stuck in an institution,,,psychward, jail,CD program. As an inhabitant of 2 of those three,I would certainly have liked knowing there was such a thing as AS.Perhaps we can "donate" a few copies to some GPs' office waiting rooms.(Like the one who initially refused to give me a referal because...you cant have Aspergers...you can speak 8O )I'm taking the first issue straight to her office  There is an interesting "Urban Gorilla Literture legue",that akes books that you have finished and leaves the around bus stops, waiting rooms, etc.Maybe we can do that with back issues,or each subscriber can do it with their read copy?

Content and names are still up for suggestion.I am trying very hard NOT to be the kid who packs up their toys and goes home when no one wants to play the game "their way".(Hopefully,I have out-grown this trait and learned a little flexability over the years.)

SO,the point of my post is to solicite ideas from you all.I dont deny that I have some of my own ideas and hopes for the direction of the magizine and I mentioned several here. But I dont want to be the only subscriber, :D ,so I am hoping that others will feel free to share what they would like to be in the magazine....suggestions willingly and openly considered.I wil post this in the general community but I wanted to come here first because there are people here whose art,writing/tech ability I respect. This isnt a "ego project",I really want the communities contributions.Inventor has said he would like to publish this,Robyn said that she would help edit, there will be submissions in areas of science/tech/computers that are simply beyond me and I hope some one will be able to read these and help decide if they are "true, logical, helpful".

We all have areas of interest that would be useful in considering submissions. I happen to be a fan of humour, informationa and "pedantic"...call me crazy(or crazy aspie).

Not meaning to put you down, Krex, at all, and this is slightly different....

I watch the newsgroup alt.support.autism and through that, finished up as one of the vast membership (25 members) of the Yahoo group "autism-magazine" -> http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/autism-magazine/.

Although that is primarily aimed at being an online magazine, I would guess your aims are pretty similar.

The problem there is that they obviously suffer from this "two steps forward, five steps back" problem. The idea is nice, but if you look at the dates... there are spurts of interest, then everyone drifts away.

Anyway... it seems like only last week, we partied the 300th page party.

Hold on... it was only last week!

We've had Robyn's b'day party since then.

This weekend will see the completion of 400 pages (we're going at the rate of 10 pages a day. which means somewhen Sunday is the time to watch).

So, what's the theme for this one? Apparently, the Mahabharata was finalised in 401. Can I wear my flippers? I'd quite like a barbecue, if anyone can get some bricks. Also, I vote for special commemorative paper hats, like those Chuck found for Nannarob's offspring. And a band. And a fire engine. And two or three first-aiders, standing by, just in case. And a chocolate cake. No, scratch that, a cheesecake. What the hell... let's splash out and have both.

It CAN'T be before next Sunday! :x I had to miss most of the last one and I have to work tonight , tomorrow night and all day Saturday. No parties 'til Sunday.

Cynicism allowed Lau,

I will check out the link but without reading it I will say....."On-line" is the whole problem.On-line means easy to forget and ignore.I am aspie....I have learned to enjoy the freedom of research that "on-line" allows(all without leaving my couch)but it will never replace the feeling of holding something in your hand(or the glee of finding something besides a bill in your mailbox.)I'm talking human nature.I used to send in Publishers Clearing House contest forms JUST to get another one in the mail.I used to order products, just to get a present in the mail.

I have my own dance steps, some say it looks like a "Native American War Dance",<---not kidding :D .I'm doing this thing, with or without ya.(Without ya,will just take longer and not be as good.)Aspies fickle?Surely you jest....all the "experts" say we are as tenacious as a dog working a bone(experts "wrong"....?doesnt that defy the logic of being called an expert?).

Only those who do not try actually fail(cant remember what genious said that but if no one else wants the credit, sign me up as the author). So,I'm going to plod on...I'm not a sprinter,I'm a long distance runner, slow and steady gets 'er done,(any clishas I left out of that speil?)

I have only had the pleasure of attending one "pow-wow" and I am not kidding ,when I say,I had to leave for a while becuase the drum beat was trying to change my heartbeat and it gave me a panic attack,I let the fear win.Wonder what would have happened if I had just let it be changed?

I swear, that "step and sound" feeds the soul, like howling and doggy dancing. There are many forms of "therepy" never found in the self help section.Maybe we should write a book or at least an article for the new magazine that WILL get done(Where is the "nose thumbing/rasberry giving" icon for lou.)lol.

Chanting preceeded humans, who learned it's power by listening to the waves, the trickeling streams, the heartbeat, buffalo hoofs and wolves howling.

CC, I think she has the most unique voice on the planet. I would love to be able to wail like she does. I've tried. Not good.
