Now, to answer an earlier question. My daughter is 36, has had a successful journalism carreer, and knows much more about the world than I do. She sold up everything in May, left her dog (13) with me and her husband in Melbourne and headed for Vietnam. She is going to be divorced. The trouble is that we all love her soon- to-be ex
.
We are going through the same scenario with our number 3 daughter. For the second time. Her first love was like a son to us and brother to our other children. We adored him. He never had a father in his life and Papa John was his father figure. He and my son were like brothers. We gradually got over it and accepted her now soon to be ex-husband as a well loved member of our family. Again, we lose another son, brother, friend. This is the kind of stuff books and movies are made of, but when it happens in real life it's not so easy to swallow.

My daughter is teaching English and free lancing to Australian newspapers. She has had articles in the Wall Street Journal so you may have heard of her if that is your reading matter!! !! !! !! !
I read the "Penny Saver" exclusively!! !! !!
My daughter is in Oregon at the moment, taking a course to be a medic on treks and climbing expeditions. She is a self taught fiddler and herbalist and certified Yoga instructor. She majored in Russian and Women's Studies at Penn State and returned somewhat of a stranger.
