After lengthy discussion (can't remember the details but it involved husbands and Luke Skywalker) we decided that Han Solo could use a job. And we could use something nice to look at to take our minds off things outside the cafe. Hence, Cabana Han. Oh and it was in the old cafe so I think he may need a new name. Unless you want to hire someone else. Any ideas??

Cassoulet is a bean based (white beans usually) stew or casserole that most often contains meat but can be made vegetarian with the addition of tofu. I personally like tofu so I use it alot.

I want some. Now you've made me hungry. May I have the recipe?

I'm with Nan. What is it?

Also, speaking of Nan, did I miss something. Has the cafe been contaminated? By whom?

would love to say it sounded good, but those are two of my least favorite foods. if tofu counts as a food. which is a point open for debate.

(sorry, ever since someone foisted a plate of tofurky on me one year at thanksgiving, my throat just kind of instinctively closes off at the thought of tofu.)

Dr Who. He is always on time. Except in the rare cases when the Tardis makes a little random navigational error while travelling through time. But those cases are rare, as Quatermass can confirm. They are rare, aren't they? Back me up here. Please?

I see Quatermass now uses Latin signatures. Then he can probably also confirm that the Latin for "To Serve and to Protect" is FABRICATI DIEM, PUNC. Not many people know that.

EEEWWWWW!! Tofurky???? 8O That sounds gross! It has to be put in a mixture of other ingredients so it can take on the other flavours. I've had a tofu burger that was disgusting! THe cook had no idea what they were doing.

my mom always used lysol when she was doing her daily cleaning, when she was well enough to clean. our place smelled like a giant, synthetic/chemical pine forest 3/4ths of the time.

she was a little obsessive about strange things - like "clean". remember one afternoon when someone came to visit my folks, and the visitor smoked cigarettes. my mother got a crystal ashtray (round, pressed crystal, with a flower pattern in the bottom of it that you could see through the top of the ashtray, about 4 to 5 inches across) down out of the "company dishes" cabinet for them to use. and every time the poor man put the ciggie ashes in the tray she'd come over, take the ash tray away, and empty it. then between his cigarettes she'd take the ashtray to the kitchen and wash it in hot soapy water that had lysol in it. then put it back in front of him.

we were afraid to ask what she used in the laundry.

i had a weird birth-family.

and lysol might be in order, considering what postie was doing over behind the couch.

Godwit just accused me of child abuse when I showed him this humourously re-edited clip from Doctor Who: Human Nature. I want a second opinion, people.

I found it ugly, disturbing and sadistic. I don't understand how it's child abuse, though. It looks more like abuse of a green faced woman. Who re-edited it? Perhaps it wouldn't be so "sicko" if wasn't ripped out of context. Dr. Who may be a tasteful and brilliant program, but ripping something from the program and re-editing it, would remove the sanction and prestige at the same time.

Don't they all seem to attract some pretty nasty demons and whatnot? I don't care how good he looks, if he's got demons following him around I don't think so.
