Hello Merle. A bit of a coincidence: I'm on "vacation" too, but I had to request this time off last December (that's just how things are done at my workplace). And I've been looking forward to it ever since. Now I'm spending my time organizing my little flat, my paperwork, and my thoughts. <edit>

Hey Merle... oops, looks like I posted in the middle of an "edit" loop; perhaps I'll revise my post in a few minutes, too. I am still quite nervous about the visibility that comes with posting here. I'm not sure whether it might not affect my "employability" down the road...

Happy 23rd! I have a good friend who just celebrated her 27th.

Hey, Lupine!

That is exactly why I edited my own post! I don't mind exposing my bleeding soul on line, but the really intimate stuff.. like my conversations with my supervisor . . well. .that is just TOO personal!

but I agree completely, we are prisoners of our own inability to get out of the ruts we find ourselves in. We are luminious beings, imprisoned in these earthly physical bodies, if you really want to get down to the nitty gritty of the issue!!

The sun is in Virgo, and Venus is finally out of retrograde ( whoo hoo!) and Mercury went into Libra 16 days early this year , bringing on the autumn early this year ( witness the first snow falls in the Rockies, today!!)
Virgo is a very good time to re-assess and tidy up. . .
:)

good to see you here, Lupie!

Heehee, now you've made a nickname out of my nickname!

Thanks, it's good to be here.

Oh, and I just LOVE that toothbrush & toilet paper icon. It says it all.

Hello, Lupine! I don't think I've actually met you before but I have heard about what a good person you are! :D You are right, the friendships that evolve on this thread and this site are wonderful.

It is raining and cold here today. It wouldn't surprise me if I saw a snowflake or two. It is my favorite kind of weather (sweater weather) and I love it. I have been sorting and giving away and trashing things all week in an effort to free myself from some of our "stuff". I can't believe how commercial my family has become now that my boys are older. It is sad!

Oh, yes, I did a "good deed" here once... but it was not a selfless deed at all; I really, really wanted to make sure that Merle could keep on posting, because I enjoy her posts so much! (And of course, it was an excellent electronics recycling opportunity... )

who put back up the avatar you commented on so they don't think Statler and Waldorph ( the old hecklers on The Muppet Show") is how you feel about your job!

Merle! Hit me with Postie's two by four! This is what my children's book is about!! ! I hope you won't think that I stole your idea! I started the writing of it three years ago! It's based on a dream that I had. It's just the illustrations that have taken me so long, because I had to finish inventing the inks that I am using!

I'll be back shortly - have to mow the lunar surface and eat some lunch. :)

I need to bring some inspiration into this place after the darkness of yesterday!

This if for all of the wonderful, strong, eccentric women who post or lurk in this cafe! I admire you all! :D

me stealing YOUR idea?? I got it from Ron Howard's movie "Cocoon" and writers Tom Benedek and David Saperstein screen play and sci fi story. Long ago when I was the child pictured on my first avatar I said I 'felt like a star turned inside out. . .' and I resonated when I saw "Cocoon" when the lady in the swimming pool 'unzips' her skin and muscles and bone and becomes that golden point of light.

Please, use the concept freely in your writing, great truths are shared and freely given as truth for all, no one steals anything. . . there is nothing to steal :)

I will be back shortly, too, as I am giving the kitchen such a cleaning!
