Aggravating and frustrating as it can be, I love messing with computers. I came to it late, since I was busy working all my life. Now, I have lots of time to learn how they work, and I have so much fun! I plan to learn how to build a computer, and then program it with Linux.

just reinstalled WinXP on a new hard drive, and I swear by all that's holy I have updated it, installed a anti virus program found the service pack, installed the latest swoops and whistles by instinct.

Haven't blue screened since I loaded the SP2, so I am jubilant!

not a problem i think
the advantage of having a cafe in the computer forum is that other people might join in more easily, but it's also cosy to have some here
personally i don't dislike it when people are talking about computers, on the contrary

Hello Lemon,
I don't know if I have ever commented upon what your avatar makes me feel. . .

lemon custard with lots of eggs drying in a shallow dish with little mountains in it. . . oh, and a little guy standing up in a boat.

love it!

A quiet and peaceful evening indeed, another rare Saturday morning I did not have to go to work,
another Saturday night listening to my favorite music program on my local NPR station. Right now
I hear something by Loreena McKennit from her "Ancient Muse" album.

Hi, Lau, Postie, Merle, Lemon, Richie,Lupine, Blessedmom! Glad to know you aren't put off by computer talk, Lemon. I was in the store yesterday, and in a rare friendly mood. The person bagging my groceries asked how my day had gone so far, and I said great! Then he asked if I was ready for the game? I said, what game? He: "Aren't you a Gator fan?" Me: "No, actually I'm a Geek. I only care about books and computers." He laughed, and then looked confused. It was funny.

If I hadn't been feeling pretty manic, I would have never said all that. A friend said I should look in to meds again. Why spoil the fun? I feel young again, LOL.

That is one thing I didn't like about the ADHD meds I tried. They made it possible for me to pay attention but they also took away the bubbly, flighty part of me that I enjoy. I know other people who feel that way, too. Do you feel alright besides being a little manic tonight?
