I use to just love it  when people would try and get(teach) the nice quiet girl with CAPD to clap with the music.

"Hey, come on, clap along."
"I can't clap, really."
"Nah, come one, here," he says and grabs my hands and forces me to clap.
After about four beats of carefully watching his hands after he let mine go I would lose the beat.
"You can't clap."
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure I told you that." duh!

Or, I would be watching someone's hands and trying again when all of the sudden they would get cute and add to everyones beat by clapping on the offbeat. Sheesh. You don't even want to know the torture my private music teacher had to go through.  Let's just say that it doesn't matter what surface or device you use as a metronome, its not gonna change me from playing the song to the beat I hear in my head.

I still have
"Jay, Joe, Jeans and his Jelly-beans.... Hey!, let's sing a song about "J"
in my head. I kinda like this one. I'll rewind to hear it again :D
And if I get to be in charge of horses then I say
"Step right up and pick your favorite! We've got Belgians, Clydsdales, Throughbreds, Arabians, Quarter Horses, Appaloosa's (what mine was. half quarter, half Appy) Pintos, Palaminos, Morgans, and remember...
if you don't see it here, we'll get it for you. Finanicing available for qualified buyers " (Done in my best "Cal Worthington" impersonation.)

I listen to Bochelli EVERY night at work. It is beautiful.
I was just over on the Gensis thread posting my favorite Gensis song."Home by the Sea" Anything whit ghosts in it is cool w/ me. Except I could live and die happy if I never hear "Hotel California" again. Completely burnt-out on it.

Lau,thanks for the links...they did find some spyware(some from mocrosoft I kept out of fear of screwing something up.)It didnt solve the problem, though, which is as follows.

Everytime I click on a link the computer pops up a window saying...microsoft is configureing HPIZ450,I usually just push cancel and the computer goes to the link...but it happens everytime I link to anything. If I dont automatically cancel,I get the following messages..

The feature you are trying to use is on CD-Rom or other removable disk.Insert the disk and click OK(I havent loaded any, honest)

Then it says...

Error1706.No valid source could be found for product. The windows installer can not continue.

I was having a similiar problem before my other log on page stopped connecting, now I use my boyfriends,on the same computer.
The program they were trying to install then was "Plug and Play monitor"....more software I have never loaded on this machine and have no idea where it came from but still shows up whenever I start up the computer. On his log in I just push cancel, because when I pushed "Install" on my log in page, they said this software is not compatable with mocrosoft and everything went nuts.Even weirder, when I go into my computer it says I dont have ANY monitor installed(so what the hell am I using?)It does say there are two unknown monitors(one is the plug and play and they both have something to do with mobile?which I dont think I have...I'm just sitting here, not mobiling anyware???)

Can you make any sense of this?Should I try and get rid of these mystery monitors is it the only thing keeping me on-line(since the computer claims I have no other monitors?Freaky.

Yes indeed. Microsoft installs spyware on your machine. Are you surprised?

This, it would appear, is Hewlett-Packard's "HP Image Zone 450" stuff. Possibly as "HP Photosmart Essential 2.5 - Free photo editing, organizing, printing and sharing software". I would imagine it came with a scanner? It will be a failed install of some kind, or just naff software. You may be able to uninstall it from the control panel, but the recommendation I've seen suggests using CCleaner, which I gave you the link for.

Yep. Sort of "halfway complete" install, from a CD. If you could find the CD, you could complete the install. In any case, get rid of what's currently there, first, as continuing the install may be screwed anyway.

Ah! But you have loaded this software. It is called "Microsoft Windows".

Most (all?) monitors, these days are not just output devices. They let the computer read them, too. Monitors have all sorts of capabilities, that vary, one to the next. Via a fairly limited "interface", they tell the computer what they can manage. E.g. This monitor can handle 180x1024 32-bit colour. The one in the next room can only do 1024x768 16bit.

krex wrote:

That's a bit more bothersome. I went for a year with a worse problem. Every time I rebooted Windows, I had to reinstall the NVidia graphic driver. Eventually I reinstalled Windows. Now I rarely use Windows. It must be at least a couple of months since I had occasion to. This machine hasn't been turned of for over eight days, and that was just an update that I could have put off.

If this is a laptop, there's a socket at the back that you can plug an external monitor into. It may still be remembering one that was plugged in there, ages ago. Actually, maybe ditto for a desktop, if you've replaced a monitor. (Mobile = laptop/portable... you are talking about a portable?).

I often delete the monitors. Windows will happily "rediscover" them, usually. If not, it will still give you exactly what you have now. You may have to trawl the internet for the proper info on the monitor. (if that's what you're using... I can't see from here :) )

I have a phantom monitor still on my computer (acer Aspire 5100 lap top) whenever I rummage through the hidden icons
on the task-bar I see "HP digital imaging monitor" is there any way to get rid of this without messing something else up?
I'm wondering what else is living in my hard-drive without paying rent.
