Mother is fom South Korea and regardless of how ethnocentric Asian countries are the country was occupied by Mongols, Chinese and the Japanes throughout it's unique history. My Paternal Grandmother is 100% German, My paternal Grandfather a Scot-Irishman. Now given the western migration of the poorer families and occupying areas of north Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma, there is more than a certainty of native American blood. Most likely Choktaw and Cherokee.

On my mother's side, I have no idea. Whatever heritage the Johnson surname can claim to. My Great Grandmother on the Johnson side was half Cherokee.

Then on my Father's side, the Audette line - French Canadian I believe.

Me, I just like to think of myself as a Honkey mutt.

My family "Dunnington" came from the Yorkshire region of England. My Ancestor "James Francis Dunnington" was a unindentured
servant to Lord Baltimore and came with his family to Charles County Maryland where he had 12 children with his wife.

I forgot to include the Kerouac side of my family as well. They're French-Canadian as well, I believe.

The funny thing about the Audette/Kerouac side of the family is that other than my Audette grandparents, I haven't met a single one of thm ever. I just stay down here in Tennessee with no contact with anyone but the Johnson side. And I really don't even talk with them that much either.

Of those that I know about, English, Irish, Welsh, German, Swiss-German, Dutch.

However, I'm very suspicious that on my mom's side (which was very Southern, going back to the 1700s), that someone was from Africa -- because of some of the physical traits some family members have which are not typically Caucasian.

Tim, my husband's mother was from Alsace. Do you know where in Alsace your ancestors were from?
