I let a whole slew of palindromic numbers slip by me since Post#1441.
The "all 3s" will eventually come around.

Merle, hon, I will get back on Skype one of these evenings. I've been so busy since last weekend that I'm wiped by 10:00PM. We will talk soon! :) I have been thinking about you!

Do you know if Postpaleo and Swampblossom are doing alright?

Postie is still posting on his blog, so he's alive.

I'm worried about Nanarob. They're saying on the news that there are horrific floods in Vietnam....

(Feeling better, Mom, I hope?)

:( I hadn't watched the news lately. I didn't know about the flooding! Now I am worried!

And I'm glad that Postie's still alive!

I am feeling better thanks, Nan! I worked yesterday and then went for Thanksgiving dinner with the family. (It's Thanksgiving tomorrow in Canada) I worked this afternoon and I work tomorrow afternoon. I don't have much time to feel like crap so I'm glad I took Friday off! :)
I'm about to start a very busy week. Kid #2 starts indoor soccer on Tuesday after our 4 week break and lil' girl will be driving me crazy with her birthday plans. Her birthday is in a week and a half and I've booked a pool party for her and 10 of her friends. Luckily her father and his mother will be going in the pool, as will my friend with her 3 kids. That way I can have the party room set up and the cake ready. I just can't wait!   It could be worse! My boys all have their birthdays within 2 weeks in February so I had one big party for all 3 of them. And I'm happy to say that I didn't have to get drunk for any of them!! !

Well, May/June were busy months for you at least three times in your life, eh?

Your pool party brings back memories.... :D

We've got a Halloween party on the books. Kid got me over to the craft store to get little thingamabobs to give out as treats at the party. We also picked up a black paper table-cloth and paper napkins with spiders on 'em, that sort of thing. They're all reverting - the games of choice at the parties now seem to be "musical chairs" and "pin the tail on the donkey" and "twister". I do believe they are missing easier, less complicated days.

Any idea how to make a bubbling cauldron of punch, without dry ice? I do have a spare aquarium pump and some unused hose, but that seems aesthetically inappropriate (if I get caught).

Happy Thanksgiving! (Do you folks do the turkey thing, or is that only inflicted on the USA?)

Yep! We do the turkey thing, I think it's pretty standard holiday fare here and there! Last night we had turkey, stuffing (not the boxed kind), mashed potatoes, gravy, Caesar salad, raw veggies and dip, and raspberry cheesecake, Mud pie, pumpkin pie and angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream. Needless to say I will be walking a few extra blocks every day this week! Only Kid #3 and lil' girl came with and we were home by 7:30 pm. That was more than fine with me.

Halloween bubbly punch?, the fish pump with some clear tubing sounds like it would work. :)

May/June.....started sleeping on the couch after kid #3!

I think I saw a post from nannarob a few pages back, saying she had returned. She must just be tired out from her trip.

I have gotten a rousing relapse of my symptoms, and have been feeling lousy all day. I had to to run around a lot yesterday, between rainstorms. Now I am utterly exhausted and grouchy because I can't get much done. Oh well.

Do you find that when the weather changes or the air pressure rises or falls quickly, your symptoms and pain are worse?

That could be a factor! I know that we've had a lot of rain last week, and it has stirred up a lot of mold spores. This always makes me sick. And the dampness, of course. I keep hoping we'll enter our autumn soon, such as it is. I seem to get more energy when the humidity is gone.

Hello, hello, hello. Thanks for looking out for me!

I have had a wonderful holiday. I have met so many people and my eyes have been open to another way of life.

The people are wonderful. They are friendly, kind and have a wonderful sense of humour. Most of them are very poor and live on their boats, packed in small apartments or in their place of business.

Saigon is teeming with life. For the first couple of days all we wanted to do is sit somewhere and watch the traffic!

Hello Hartzofspace. I'm sorry you are not well ...again. The humidity affects me too. I wish you could find a cure to that wretched thing.

Hi Nannorob, I'm glad your back, and that you got to enjoy both another culture, and the time spent w/ your daughter.

Hello Reika. Are you still cycling as much as you can before winter?
It was good to spend time with my daughter. It wasn't until the last few days that we had a good talk and I tried to stay longer to be with her. But I couldn't change my flight. At this stage I will return for a week in January.

And I loved the people!
