:( When it rains it pours. :( I have a BIG Aspie hug here with your name on it! Maybe it's time to take a break and have a little of that crafty fun you were talking about, even if only for one day.

The magazine, the housework and everything else will wait while you take care of yourself.

CC, I'm back to being my free flying, freak flag waving self. I got paid at the store and bought some funky colored sock yarn that knits up in stripes and matches the sweater I'm wearing. Nothing like a new ball of yarn to make me smile!! I'll post a picture when I'm done, maybe I'll even be in it!

I'm glad to hear that you are up and flying. I would love to see your striped socks and sweater. Nothing makes me happier than putting on a pair of happy socks in the morning.

If only we could all retract those emails that should never have been sent.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

I don't send E-mails, but I have a similar sentiment concering my tongue and the lack restraint in its use.
It is easier to put tooth-paste back in the tube than it is to put the words back in our mouths. :(

And people wonder why I don't talk much, IRL.

Aspie tendency my ass - it's to keep me from the cosmic "oh hell, i've done it agains!" My brain has figured this out for me, and protects me automatically! How cool is that!

Ya'll have a good evening/morning/whatever. I'm off to pick up she of the unending appetite from her work and find someplace to shovel food into her at.

(Oh, Sister M.E. is spinning like a top over that grammar!! GOOD!

"Bipolar Disorder." As an epithet, it lacks sting. "We're bipolar, oh yass, we spend the northern summer at the Iqaluit house, and the rest of the year off McMurdo Sound. It suits us, daahling."

"Manic-Depressive Illness." Way better. Lots more pith and juice in it. The high times, when you could tear a piece of sheet metal with your bare hands. The low times, which are best not spoken of at all.

I've been spending my high times making pictures (to call it "art" would be too kind). Pity the drive to GET STUFF DONE does not extend to housework. As for the low times, I've no desire to relive them nor to inflict them on you.

Blessedmom, my MIL used to come into the kitchen, ostensibly to help, but in fact to gossip. After several mishaps (finger - mine - sliced open, gravy boiling over, a small fire), now all I have to do is say, "You're not thinking of helping me, are you?! !" and she retreats unwillingly to the loungeroom.

Nice to see you more or less fine. :)

Hi, Sleepydragon! It is so good to see you again!! Have the moods levelled, then? (And any attempt at putting something creative on paper counts as art in my books. Have you seen what some people call "art"?)

And I don't have to deal with a MIL anymore.

Silver linings, eh babe? :D

I work/play mostly in pixels, not on paper, except for the occasional hardcopy. My latest effort was to create a large canvas with a Penrose tesselation on it, then layer that over a landscape photo, and attempt to recolour each tile as an individual picture element. I quickly found that the Penrose form doesn't really lend itself to photographic imagery. Too spiky, and no regular pattern. The Penrose tile as a basis for a fabric-patchwork, though - that still has potential. If I had the patience to do it, that is!
