It's Lord Havelock Vetinari. This avatar I only put up this arvo.

Over the course of Saturday to Tuesday, I finished 4 Terry Pratchett books I hadn't read before. Monstrous Regiment, Making Money, Wintersmith and Maskerade. I also have a research proposal to do by Friday week.

Nice to see you back.

Thanks for that. Myself I've been rereading my Sheri Tepper collection, and also I've unearthed my old collection of 1980s techno and industrial music. Cabaret Voltaire, mmm-mmm. How's your course work going?

I just said. I have a research proposal to do by Friday week, and a presentation a couple of weeks after that.

See any of Doctor Who?

Only when going past the ABC Shop at Westfield Miranda. Casanova was on pay TV last week, but not on a channel we subscribe to, more's the pity.

Salut lemon! Ton conseil est chaleureusement apprécié, ma chérie. J'ai une page d'accueil photographique. Je vais poster l'URL bientôt.

J'écoute ceci en ce moment:

Pix I've made

The firebird and cat were T-shirt pictures, not mine originally.

Lemon, tu vas voir, à la page titre de la série "Buddy", que j'ai eu le même petit problème avec les pixels au bord de l'image.

Sleepydragon, For some reason The Editors remind me of a band I listened to constantly in 1985.

This would be of interest to PostPaleo and Richie, mainly, as Pennsylvanians.

Interesting about the cell phone ban bogus email. Truly weird how those things get started and can take on a life of their own. I used to work for a government entity, years ago, where I fielded calls from the public. Some of the stuff that people would call, all upset, about was pretty amazing and creatively constructed, and nowhere near accurate. That was back before the email thing got going, but people would pass mis-info around at the hairdressers, barbershop, whatever....

For the Cali crowd, the Governator just signed the legislation outlawing people smoking in cars if children are present in the car. $100 fine for first offense. I assume it's tobacco, the news report didn't say.

He vetod the one that would have made backseat car seats mandatory for 7 and 8 year old kids. (?!?!)

We have the car seats for 7 and 8 year old law here. How many people do you think actually follow that one? None, nada, zero, zip. And I have never heard of anyone getting a ticket. either.

In NSW Australia it is illegal to use a mobile phone while driving, a law which is gleefully ignored by roughly 3 in 10 of the drivers I see every day. Mums in 4-wheel drives also have a terrible reputation for fanging it through the school zones of a morning. A slander if I ever heard one.

(I myself drive a sedan.)

Glad you liked my pix, CC!

"Fanging it?" 8O

That creates all sorts of mental images.

Oh noooo, a staff meeting on my horizon. You folks have a nice morning/evening/whatever.
