Hi, everyone - I've visited this forum before, years ago, but I've found my way back today. It feels more relevant to me than ever.

What is your first name? Sarah

Age:60

Location:Suffolk, UK

Hobbies and Interests:My dogs, walking, reading, nature photography, cross stitch.

Why are you here? I'm looking for help accepting myself for who (what?) I am, and to talk to people who understand me and can help me deal with the world.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I don't have a formal diagnosis, but I'm increasingly certain that I'm either strongly Aspie or high-functioning autistic. It explains so much about the way I feel and about things that have happened in my lifetime. I will probably never get an official diagnosis - the NHS waiting list is anything up to 3 years and I can't afford to go private.

Favorite subjects: Biology, English.

Year/Grade:

Favorite music: Pretty varied. Anything from Papa Roach to The Alan Parson's Project via Madness...

Books: Autobiographies, and stories based on fact. I've just finished Lily and the Octopus - I howled.

TV shows/Movies:Nature documentaries, and I do love a rom-com and some comedies.

Instrument: Bass guitar and am struggling with the alto sax.

Do you like sports? No.

Family: Husband and two wonderful adult children.

Clothing: Mostly leggings and T-shirts.

How did you find this website? I wanted to come back here; I searched, and here you were :)

Job:Retired.

Plans for the future? Waiting for my husband to retire so we can go travelling in our motorhome, work on our garden and tend our pets, chickens and bees.

Any comments? Good to be back...

Welcome back to Wrong Planet! :)

Netflix has a series of nature documentaries called Our Planet that you can for free on You-Tube.

What is your first name? Dominic

Age: 20

Location: Victoria, Texas

Hobbies and Interests: writing, reading, voreaephillia, thinking, listening to music, driving, fencing, history, (oddly enough couldn't pick one era as I enjoy it all, but specifically the Napoleonic onwards,) philosophy. Sarcasm. Cryptography.

Why are you here? I have a tendency to self isolate in order to preserve or rather prevent heartbreak and sadness over losses. This leads inevitably to despair, loneliness, anger, and other problems... This is yet another attempt, at reaching out because I'm an arrogant bastard who despite the knowledge I've acquired, can't apply the s**t he knows to hisself, while willingly and freely offering advice to others.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Age of 3, 2004 or whereabouts

Favorite subjects: history(specially military), psychology, politics,

Year/Grade: hmm, Think I a freshman in college me thinks.

Favorite music: Probably metal and rock, blues and jazz, folk, hell, probably everything except modern pop.

Books: Hmm. 1984,

TV shows/Movies: Stargate, star trek, the postman always rings twice, Jurassic park series, news,

Instrument: my voice, harmonica

Do you like sports? Cross Country, Fencing,

Family: I have family yes.

Clothing:

How did you find this website? Autistic blogger

Job: Student

Plans for the future? Well the plan is to become a police officer, an emt, and a paramedic, but s**t keeps getting in the way. And I don't think I'ma make it through college.

Any comments? Reading through the comments and I guess I'm surprised there are autistics in their fifties and sixties, have a tendency towards pessimism and negativism from some sexual trauma bout 11 years back now, ptsd and whatnot, kinda f*****g annoying ngl. As if Asperger's wasn't hard enough to deal with, the f*****g comorbidities I have kill me. Never thought I'd make it to 20 and that was only a month and nine days ago. More or less, depending on wither this goes through within five minutes lol. Wonder what the prevalence rate in the furry fandom is with ASD ngl.

Same! We lived off grid in a camper/5th wheel in the middle of a North Georgia forest for 4 years. Now we are in a motor home up in New England and hoping that a house purchase in rural Maine goes off without a hitch.

I'm a nature photographer/biographer (aka a naturalist). Birding is actually an area in which I do not specialize (I love insects, plants, fungi mostly). I hope to delve into it more in the future!

Also, WELCOME!

Start with Right Left Right Left taps with your hands or sticks, and gradually speed up while staying steady and without tension. Once you get that going well, try RR LL RR LL. Once you get that, look up drumming rudiments and begin working your way through them.

Thank you! Yes, lot's to discuss about rescues. I took him to the woods today and as soon as he clicked into the fact that we were heading back to the car he stayed away from me. It took me almost an hour to trick him into coming close enough to me that I could grab his harness and leash him. Grrr.

I'll post pictures of the sculptures....eventually.
