Hey DB! Thanks for the Battlestar Galactica recommendation. Innamorata would also be pleased, I'm sure!

Well, I'm watching the young 'uns for the weekend, although thankfully they're mostly over their stomach flu, and just finished watching Torchwood on BBC America (think Doctor Who meets X-Files, set in Cardiff). Loved the title of this episode, too - "They Keep Killing Suzie".

So how're y'all doing?

Interesting title. I do enjoy the BBC productions - tend to be a bit higher production values. (Not counting the old "Dr Who" with the Daleks who looked like they were holding toilet plungers...) I used to really enjoy a series they did on Sherlock Holmes back in the 1980s. Jeremey Brett(?) starred. Also enjoyed the "Ms Marple" series with the very old actress (Dame Edith Edwards?).

My kid is off at a Halloween Party dressed as the pirate queen. Hell of a lot of parties out there tonight. Going to be a big kindergarten class in about 6 years, I think, judging from the lines at the liquor store this afternoon.

So I'm sitting here listening to music, having a little snort of old rotgut, and playing on the internet. Hell, someone's got to be the token "stay at home" person in this town tonight.

There is no need, however, for me to be the only person on the whole PLANET to be staying at home....

Sadly, Nan, you are not the only one sitting at home doing nothing much. It's Sunday arvo here, though, not Saturday night!

Except I'll have to sign off before long and pick up the slack on the housework, oh goody gumdrops. :?

Let it go, it sounds to me as if she was ready for a big outburst, and you just happened along at the right time. You're still you, just like always! 8)

Does your 14-yr-old angstmeister have any musical recommendations for a situation like this? :)

Edit: EEWWW! Apparently my eardrums are too old for SNFU! 8O

Well, it is late here and I am trying to use push pins instead of putting up the rod bracket with the hammer and little copper nails because the guy upstairs that has been abstinate from alcohol for a year due to a (Driving While Intoxicated) is up today. Little does he know now but will certainly find out that alcoholism progresses even when one is dry and he will bear the brunt of his recent binge.

"Pretty fly for a white guy" - awesome!

As for me, I've gotten out the Triple J Hottest 100, Volumes 5, 8, 9 and 10, which - 100? they lie, the most tracks I've ever seen on one is 39 - and on Volume 8 we have, let's see, "Groove Jet (If This Ain't Love)" by Spiller; "One More Time (The Sunshine Song)" by Groove Terminator; and "I See You Baby" by Groove Armada feat. Gram'ma Funk. I sense a theme developing here, peoples, so I'm gonna put on the biggest, loudest dance tracks I can find, and go tear into the laundry and dishes.

(Not a single Green Day tune on any of the four sets! DAY-um!)

*waves to Merle as she lurches off to the kitchen*

Hello y'all. Is that a proper expression?

Every time I've decided to post the computer goes down or someone else (Jim) needs the computer.

SO happy birthday Krex. You planned a great time for yourself- dentist and doctor's appointment! I hope you were able to state your case at your doctor's appointment. Was it Rijaye who was also going to see a doctor as well?

I can remember my fear when I was severely depressed. I also had chronic fatigue at one stage and that was scary too. But I can imagine that your fear of not being believed or fobbed off is far worse than that.

So Sleepy Dragon, you are off to see a shrink! Psychoanalysis (is that how you spell it) works for me but I wonder if it is an Nt intervention. I have a wonderful shrink who uses a range of skills. He has a wonderful sense of humour which I think is vital. NEVER trust a dark suited serious shrink. S/he is probably mad!

Yo Blessedmom. I'm a bit worried about you. Please look after yourself.

Not going for analysis; my GP wants me to be formally assessed and diagnosed, and possibly have some adjustments to my meds. I tried the talk-therapy route about a dozen years ago, and it did absolutely zilch for me. :) I don't know what Tony Attwood recommends, but Roger Meyer is an advocate of cognitive-behaviour therapy for Aspies (where required).

Time to go nigh'-nigh', 7:00 am comes awful early when daylight-saving time has just started!
