The Dino-Aspie Ex-Café (for Those 40+... or feeling creaky)
If I remember correctly some states including Pennsylvania started restricting the sale of SudaFed and pseudoephedrine containing medications, ie ID or proof of age or a prescription required for purchase.[/quote]
Yes...it is because they use it to make homebrew meth...it is probably the healthiest thing in meth, they use some scary chemicals.
The benadryl I was taking was 25mg,once nightly....good thing I didnt know about the other "effects' back in my using days.I was plenty happy with generic robotussien....that has a little bit of "everything" in it and makes you feel energetic in a relaxed way, simply amazing...also seems to cause brain death but whata way to go.I think it was the DextramethaMORPHIN<----I never took any opiates but I imagine this is what it feels like if you add some speed to cut the "nod" effect.4oz and I got some very interesting visual distortions(Stretch Armstrong arms anyone?).This is the stuff they should watch teenagers for...cheap,easy to access(who desn't have it in their family medicine cabnet.)and gets you higher then most of the street drugs I did take.

Scary hardly begins to describe what these jokers use in an illicit drug lab, every pound of methamphetamine produced generates
5-10 pounds of toxic waste. About half of the people admitted into burn units in Tennessee are because drug lab explosions or flash-fires. Ah yes kids and their "pharm" parties, where they raid the medicine chest and play all sorts of mix and match games
with prescription and non-prescription drugs. We are turning ourselves into a zombie nation......

Oh, if I had a dollar for every winner that I've picked.

I recently got screwed over by a house mate I thought I could trust..... and he also left my other room mate in a financial
and legal hole. I'm kicking myself in the tookas because this is not the first time that someone took me to the cleaners...

I have noticed a correlation between having AS and being far too trusting. My children and I are always trusting people we shouldn't (I've learned a little). Many of the people on WP are also far more trusting than they should be.

Sometimes we risk more than just economic ruin because of misplaced trust.... we're talking about people who are abusing
drugs or have gotten themselves involved in something else that is illegal.

It's a pity if you trust someone and they disappoint you.
That's all that matters. That you should just be disappointed. Take the odd bad in your stride. You mainly get the good.
They are the ones with a problem. Unless they change their ways, they may never manage to find true contentment.

There's no turning back now, Lau. You've found your inner sage.

You really should buy some of the theatrical "quick change" closures for them, Lau, if you're gonna keep doing this.

Stopping in to say hello and Happy Halloween.
I still haven't gotten myself to catch up on all I've missed.
On a possible good note, I have my first appointment tomorrow on the path to a possible diagnosis.
Does anyone else ever feel that they don't know what they are feeling other than 'meh'? I know I am feeling something and it it making things difficult but I don't know what it is.
I feel like I should end on a good note. I've lost 20 pounds the in the last two months. I'm pretty sure it is because of the thyroid medication I started on about three or four months ago. I have discovered though, that certain foods will set me back a weeks progress in one night so I'm trying to be careful.
Anyways, Happy Halloween!
Oreo cookies for me. Or a ham sandwich with potato chips.

pizza, pretty much any yummy bread/biscuit, just one alcoholic drink

My ex was into drugs. I didn't know until I started seeing the paraphernalia. I really knew, when he started stealing my anti-depressants, and selling them for 10 bucks a pop.

It's an awful feeling not to be able to trust people, or to trust our own minds on whether or not someone is worthy of trust. I found this advice interesting:
HOW INFANTS DECIDE ABOUT TRUST
Infants are little bundles of physical sensation. They do their remembering with their bodies, not with their minds. Their bodies remember what it feels like to be handled with love, and they compare that "body memory" with how they feel when they are being held by someone else.
RELEARNING HOW INFANTS MAKE DECISIONS
1. Think about someone you trust completely because they always keep their word.
2. While thinking about this person, "take a reading" of your body. Notice how you feel in your torso (shoulders to pelvis). To make sure you remember this sensation, write down a few words to describe it (e.g.-"warmth in my chest," "lighter in my stomach,")
3. Practice making yourself feel this sensation over and over (about 10 times). Get so good at it that you can make the sensation happen with just a single thought.
4. Now think about someone you do not trust because they seldom keep their word..
5. Repeat step 2. (Notice the COMPLETELY DIFFERENT sensation.)
6. Repeat step 3 (Practice this new feeling.)
7. Now test your skill by thinking about some recent acquaintances. Take another "body reading" as you think about each of these people, one at a time. Compare these sensations with the sensations you remember from the person you trust, and then with the sensations you remember from the person you don't trust.
8. Then simply ask yourself: "Do I trust these new people?"
The answer will come to you immediately, without further thinking, and without further testing or practice. You have reacquired a skill, and it will always be available for you.
THE "LITTLE PROFESSOR"
The ability you relearned has a cute name. It's called "the little professor." It means "the brilliant way infants think." Infants are almost never wrong! (Wish I could say the same thing about my grownup thinking!) From now on you will be able to use your "little professor" along with your adult thinking to help you make all the important decisions in your life.
Set the goal of learning to read your body so well that it can even work as a "lie detector" to uncover the lies you tell yourself!
