Now that Halloween is over it's time for Remembrance Day.

Nan will like this one.

Okay, third attempt to post. Keep getting 'critical error'.

Where is Postie? His absence is loud. Anyone heard from him?

Nice video.

See http://www.terry-kelly.com/ for the background, where you can view the original video:
in English: http://www.terry-kelly.com/pittance/pit ... _video.htm
or French: http://www.terry-kelly.com/pittance/pit ... _video.htm
Strangely, I like the French version better.

He will be back. He just needs to go to his cave now and then to center himself and do what he needs to do.

EDIT: It was also Halloween and he may be wondering what to do with the wee captives in his basement!

Thank you, Lau. :)
The French lyrics are far more fluid. I can see why you'd like them more. Do you understand or speak the language?

"Understand" or "speak" would both be stretching the truth.

Hearing the French version through once, I would say I probably understood maybe 25% of the lyrics, but I'd already heard the English... so it's cheating, a little.

If I were stranded in the middle of France, with a leaking radiator cap, I'd manage to get some water to top it up until I could get to a garage to get it fixed. (I did that, with my zero-French-speaking parents, when I was about 13).

:( Does that mean I'll have to visit France without you?

Ah well, even if you did, you would probably have found the wording different, as the "French" that is spoken in Quebec is not the same. The rest of the country calls it Franglais, or lazy French. I quit having it as part of my studies in highschool when I realized that. I would like to visit France but have no desire to visit Quebec.

I heard on the news this morning that the leader of the opposition in Quebec ( a Liberal) was slamming a member of the the Montreal Canadiens because he doesn't address the fans in French. They were making a huge deal about it. Saku Koivu is one of, if not "the" best player that they have. The leader said they were told he was bilingual. He is. He speaks Finnish and English. It would serve them right if he packed up and went to play somewhere else. (No, I'm not a hockey fan, I just like it when the government of Quebec acts silly.)

Good morning everyone, drinking espresso waking up (again)
Mommys little baby-angel spent the night w/ a high fever and throwing up. The school called and had me pick her up yesterday. (she threw up in the library) Hope she feels better today. Last time I could't get her to drink we ended up at the hospital w/ an IV in her little arm. It was horriable to watch them roll her in a sheet to immobilize her with her screaming for me the whole time. hope it doesnt come to that.
Liked you video Blessedmom. Lemon when I tried to play yours it said it was "no longer available?"

Is there any reason why, apart from a few Dino's, most on this site are so unbelievably mean and nasty? Is that a symptom of Aspergers? It seems to be. The overall feeling I get from the boards is one of spitefulness, arrogance, and delusions of intelligence and grandeur. Its funny, 'cos I don't get that feeling from Heather on ANTM. She doesn't seem to have a malicious bone in her body. I think I have misread what it is all about and I most definitely don't want to be associated with this particular group of people. There are some real people here at Dino's and one or two out there in the forum that I feel are sincere people with genuine intelligence and heart, but they are so few and far between that it makes it impossible to find any real connection. I'm beginning to suspect that Aspergers is less conspicuous as a type of thinking or processing than it is as (according to what I see and experience on this site) a nasty personality. What a pity.

MOre fun......Better life through chemistry...lesson #122

Thought these were interesting links.....

Good gracious,it is amazing we are still alive.

I realize that smoking has caused some major health care problems in our society but considering the toxins that are allowed into the products we consume on a daily bases.....I think we could stop focusing on those "evil smokers" and start taxing the hell out of the manufacuters getting rich poisening us(How much do they add to the daily medical costs of our country?.....Probably more then anyone will know, since some of the people they are making sick HAVE no access to medical care and their illnesses go unrecorded.I doubt there are many DRs that even have the tests(or insurence companies that would pay for such tests),to tell when we have environmental toxins effecting our health....So we treat the symptoms(thank you big PHARMA.....can you put a few more toxic chemicals in the meds used to treat me?).

I now fully grasp the concept of....

Ignorance is bliss...(perhaps a bit less on-line research is called for before I can reach bliss)
