Hobbies and Interests: reading fantasy, surfing the net, drawing, playing computer games, watching movies, listening to music, and a whole bunch of other things.

Why are you here? Because it's a cool place and I'm on the autism spectrum.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Not diagnosed, but semi-officially diagnosed with Social Anxiety Disorder in 2003.

Favorite subjects: Science, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology and sometimes History

Year/Grade: 16th grade, or in other words 3 years of community college and nearly one semester of the 4-year university.

Favorite music: Classic rock, alternative, 70s, 80s, classical, pretty much anything except rap and country.

Books: I mainly read fantasy, but non-fiction, self-help books, and science magazines are my breakfast reading material.

TV shows/Movies: I love all genres of movies, my favorite being sci-fi and fantasy. I don't like slasher films.

Instrument: I suck at those. I can attempt to make a song on my keyboard, but I'm sure people don't want to hear it.

Do you like sports? No, but I like swimming, hiking, mini-golf, and sometimes bowling and ping pong. I don't think they really count.

Family: Yes, I live with them. My parents are still married after 25+ years, and I have younger brother who's 16.

Clothing: Yes I wear clothes, but I could care less about fashion. I wear what's comfortable.

Job: No jobs yet. Putting it off as long as possible, or at least untill I actually need one.

Plans for the future? Plans? I'll be lucky if I make it to the future. It's something I worry about all the time, so it's the last thing I want to think about right now.

Hobbies and Interests: Reading (sci-fi, for the most part), playing video games (usually an RTS, RPG, or FPS, although I play most genres), perusing various internet forums, writing, cooking, computers, and some other things I'll probably remember later.

Why are you here? Eh, seems like a nice enough place, may as well talk with you guys.

When were you diagnosed?: A few months back.

Favorite subjects: ICP (computers), SOSE (study of society and environment). Don't mind doing Calculus.

Year/Grade: Year 11

Favorite music: Mainly things from games, particularly stuff by Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy), Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger), Jon Hallur (EVE Online), Jesper Kyd (Hitman), and the guy that did the music in Metroid Prime 1 and 2, I've forgotten his name.

Books: Mainly sci-fi, particularly Ben Bova and Isaac Asimov.

TV shows: Battlestar Galactica remake, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Futurama, Law&Order: Criminal Intent (Goren=awsome), House M.D., Monty Python's Flying Circus, and the older seasons of The Simpsons.

Movies: Aliens, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Ghost in the Shell, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Millenium Actress, Monty Python's Now for Something Completely Different, and Shrek.

Instrument: I don't play any instruments, although I'd like to learn the piano (its my favourite instrument to listen to)

Do you like sports? Not really. Don't really mind playing football (soccer), but that's about it.

Family: I live with my mum, who's a social worker, and my 21 year old apprentice mechanic brother.

Clothing: Whatever's comfortable. Here in the tropics that consists of a t-shirt and shorts. Most of my clothes are darker colours, although for some reason the vast majority of my shorts are grey.

Job: Don't have any right now, although I'm the family cook and I help fix computers for my mum's friends.

Plans for the future? Hopefully either working with computer hardware or creating sci-fi worlds for RPGs (I'm pretty good at coming up with realistic and detailed alien civillisations and species, but I'm not much of a story writer). Judging from demand, I'll probably end up with the computer hardware option, with the sci-fi stuff as a hobby.

Any comments? It took 2 professors my freshman year refering me to the school counsilor who then refered me to a psychologist before I ever went so it's not likely I'll go any time soon to check about AS. Diabetic as well.

Hobbies and Interests: Writing, Drawing, and Planning the World's Greatest Series.

Why are you here? To find myself, and others who are potentially like me. It's been rather successful so far, too. Wait, you mean which... Oh, potential aspie.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): While not truly diagnosed by a doctor, I'm quite positive I have AS. At least, I hope I do: if not, I'm just really, REALLY wierd.

Favorite subjects: Creative Writing, and perhaps Greek. I like a good deal of things, but my true interest has got to be video games.

Year/Grade: High School Senior

Favorite music: Probably Rock. Classic, alternative, indy, doesn't matter. If it rocks, that's all that counts.

Books: Anything high fantasy or sci-fi. Too much non-fiction makes me all depressed and stuff. I especially like old legends, like Gilgamesh or King Arthur.

TV shows/Movies: Anime. And trust me when I say, I like a lot of anime.

Instrument: Guitar, some drums, and a bit of vocals. Though I could use a lot of practice on all 3.

Do you like sports? No. Not ever, not even once. Well, OK, sometimes. But not usually.

Family: 4 sisters (2 half) and a half brother. Divorced parents, a stepmom, and 17 aunts and uncles.

Clothing: Plain clothes; Cool color T-Shirts and blue jeans. I enjoy dressing up, though, if nice clothes are available.

How did you find this website? While researching autism as a possible cause of my absurdity and strangeness, I came across the link leading to this site from Answers. I took interest, though I could learn a thing or two, and here I am.

Job: HahahahahHAHAhahaHAH. Hah, heheh, heehee, hoohoohaho. Yeah, no job for me. I sorta wish I had one, though. It'd keep my mind off of things i'd rather not trouble myself with. Then again, the last job I had didn't really help in that department.

Plans for the future? As I said, I'm planning the greatest series in the world. Video Games, cartoons, movies, books, comics, everything. If there's an area of creativity out there, my series will at least touch on it. That's just how it goes, ya know?

Any comments? I like pie. Especially pumpkin pie, don't ask. Strange poetry is good, like the Jabberwocky, and so are clouds. Oh yeah, and this website. It certainly has a way of making me feel less strange.

Hobbies and Interests: I Love Lucy, A Beautiful Mind, neuropsychiatry, Frank Sinatra's music, FDR, American history, the Spanish language, and Cedar Point's rollercoasters.

Why are you here? Because I'm interested in interacting with other Aspies and seeing the similarities.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): OCD- 17 (have had it since age 3); Asperger's- 18 1/2 (obvious since I was a toddler). I also have had panic attacks since around age 3-5.

Favorite subjects: Neuropsychiatry and the biochemistry, thereof. (I'm a neuroscience major.) Second would be American history. But, in general, I'm a real science nerd.

Year/Grade: College sophomore.

Favorite music: Frank Sinatra, Frank Sinatra, and more Frank Sinatra. I also like Michael Buble, Gwen Stefani/No Doubt, Elton John, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, swing/Big Band, musicals, and the soundtracks from Chicago and A Beautiful Mind.

Books: The Great Gatsby! My second favs are Catcher in the Rye and A Separate Peace.

TV shows/Movies: I Love Lucy and A Beautiful Mind are two of my biggest obsessive fixations. My other favorites are Ed, Edd n Eddy, SpongeBob SquarePants, Degrassi: The Next Generation, All in the Family, Full House (one of my first obsessive fixations), Danny Phantom, Chicago, The Aviator, and Down With Love.

Why are you here? I've been told 2 month ago that I have autism, probebly AS. Before that I was allways told that I was abused as a child.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I will be diagnosed in 7 month by the autisme centre in Leiden the Netherlands.

Favorite subjects: the behavior (thought patterns) that lead to suicide in teens.
(about 5 years ago I lost intrest because it doesn't seem to be possible to change the thought patterns. That is, they sometimes change spontaneous, but it doesn't seem to be possible to guide them.) At the moment I'm between subjects and miss not having something to analyse.

Year/Grade: This is which school you have done? HAVO. I don't know how that translate to the US system.

Favorite music: lots and lots, but I never know what they are called.

Books: My all time favoret is a book called The city and the stars, written by Arthur C. Clarke.
Mostly scifi written in the fifties of last century.

Job: I work at something called the "sociale werkvoorziening" in dutch. The translation site I found translates it with social employment. I'm not sure whether thats correct.
