it means you are not a gerbil, but not quite an eagle, either

That makes me happy : I would not like to be an eagle. I would rather dream of the loooong, intercontinental flights of the albatros, or the unimaginably long voyages of the manu uru, the Polynesian sterna (sterna paradisaea or gygis alba) that can fly by day and by night, up to 80,000 KM ! Hopping fruits on paradise islands then continuing my flight beneath the stars through the moonshine... I mean... hhhmmmm!

Interestingly, the words "manu uru" mean "the bird possessed by a god" in reo ma'ohi, the language of eastern Polynesia.

Edit : I know we are supposed to post "Pictures of the real you". Did I goof? I am not sure but maybe this one is not so far from it... Am I a fetika (star) or manu (bird)? Whatever the answer, I am not down to earth, that's for sure!

I just thought it would be fun to post some pictures of how much I have changed over the years, or not

The obligatory childhood Christmas Pageant, what else but an angel.

Then about 23 years ago I retired the halo to become a warrior, well a tactical aircraft mechanic at any rate.

And who says aspies can't have long term, happy relationships, not easy, but possible (well obviously we can and do all the time), my sweetie and I have been married 19 years as of last month, and my baby is now a very precocious 5 year old.

How do I post a picture from my Blackberry? Well, I'm 1.65m, 32, fair skin, grey-green-blue eyes, natural haircolour is light "mouse" brown but I dey my hair dark red with very red highlights! My hair is shoulder length and usualy looks like I just got out of bed. Its Winter here in South Africa, so I wear jeans and longsleeve t-shirts with warm jackets and scarf, gloves, knee-high boots and am still freezing! And I LOVE my husband! I have a pc too, will try to get a picture for you. Just love to put a face to a name! By the way, my name's Sonia.

Sounds adorable. :)
I had to text photobucket a picture and then get the link...but it was very confusing. I wouldn't know how to do it from a blackberry, but good luck!

(Oh & thanks for explaining the Texas stuff, ferralucce. I knew it was something to do with mexico. I didn't grow up here, my state history classes were in california)

Hi CheriedlsTyping

No, I'm from South Africa! Was born here. My parents are from French and German descend, so fair skin is an understatement!
I wouldn't explain my style as Mexican 8) Just like to stand out, really don't like my natural hair color, and the boots are to keep warm, really, and they're comfortable. Let's see if I can get a picture on from my pc... Ok, still stuck! Anyone, I would like to post a picture directly from my pc here. How do I do that? It seems that photobucket only works with iphones, and I have some nice picks to choose from on my pc. How can I show them to you?

Say : is that a forum on astronomy? We have lonestar, littlestar, Theuniverseman, Fetika (a Polynesian word meaning "star")... Feralucce (iron and light) would be an excellent pseudo for a supernova... When will we have "comet" and "galaxy"?

We already have a "Planet" but it is the wrong one...

Nope. I chose the name littlestar because my mom used to call me her "sterretjie". Translated as little star. If my mom didn't give me that nickname when I was about 3 or 4, I wouldn't be the positive person I am today. Thanx MOM! <3

I changed my hair to feel a bit more summer-y a week or so ago.
The photo doesn't really do the color justice; its a combination of orange/pink/coral.
I actually feel decent about how I look for once in a long while, though I still haven't figured out the 'happy medium' between Aspie stare and goofy smile in photos.

You have a beautiful facial structure and the eyes are attention grabbing. I bet you'd look good even in a bad hair day :).

This is a recent one of mine:
