wow - talk about pattern! how much did that mother set you back? (cost?)
if you had that on i bet i could see you all the way from here in santa barbara county.
Thanks. People really like the suit (and that's just one of them), but honestly, it doesn't stand out that much from most of my wardrobe. I've always been attracted to really loud, tacky clothing: 2/3 of my wardrobe are bright colors, tacky patterns, Hawaiian shirts, etc. (the other 1/3 is blacks and greys for my workplace). I don't know what draws me to it; I guess a lifetime of listening to Weird Al and The B-52's rubbed off on me in more ways than one.
The suit came from a UK-based company called
Opposuits; they typically cost $100 + shipping, but I was lucky enough to find mine (in my size!) at a local Spirit Halloween store for only $80. I've never spent that much on one article of clothing, but I'm cautious with my savings, so I felt I could splurge. The only reason I really went for it is that I have plans to start a kind of TV-themed novelty rock band, so a suit with a test pattern pattern is a natural choice.
But yeah, Opposuits have some great designs, as does
Loudmouth, but being tacky is apparently so
expensive...I hope someday I'll have the type of high-paying job to dress in a way that looks like a circus clown exploded.
