Thanks for the music, all of you. Great stuff, so I thought I'd add my own vibe

Hard to say, SleepyDragon! Why that might be, I mean! (Duncan shouts over echoes)
Even the crickets are sleeping.

Ah! That would be me... looking... and thinking... how interesting!

It had been rather a few hours since duncansbass' post, and I was wondering if the thread would drop off the first page, if it went a full 24 hours without a post.

I don't suppose you noticed, Sleepy, if it had? I see you left it for the full 24 hours plus a few minutes leeway.

Anyway, I'm sure this deserves a celebration:

Happy Day After First Day Without A Post To You!

:jocolor: Happy Firsday to Me! :jocolor:

Yeh-nah (I love that word, there's something so typically Aussie about it), I haven't had much blatheration to add to the Dinosaur Cave lately. I've been preoccupied with THIS and also THAT. I think we're copping some fallout from the "NT Speaks" webpage affair.

Also, my muse has just infodumped a pickup truck's worth of material that I want to write up for a certain literary project. Have to get some of it in doc form before it evaporates....

ETA: Cripes! This was Post 2001!

Congrats, sleepy!

Blessedmom, I see you've discovered Bix! He was the bomb, and like so many in the musical profession, troubled, self-medicating, and a life cut short.

ummmm, ya can't go north out of LA on the I-5. it seems to be closed (not for the first time this week) due to it being blocked by snow. (snow, yes.)

And in a further sign of the approaching apocolypse, Phoenix got rain!

Seriously, though, stay safe, Nan.

It's not unusual for Tejon Pass, north of LA, to be blocked with snow this time of year; however, according to the news this morning, a tornado actually touched down in Malibu. In Malibu, California.

Earlier this month, a tornado hit Vancouver, WA.

Then there's the unusual number of winter tornadoes in the American Midwest, the massive drought and fires in Greece - wasn't that last summer? - and one gets the impression that the droughts in Australia have been unusually severe for the past year or two.

But there's no climate change going on - just ask the Bush administration...
