Still feeling creaky topic

I think I have posted here before.

Lots of adolescents posting now. I guess I felt creaky at that age, too.

It is interesting that in a pataphysical way, this forum has metamorphosed into where it is now--something completely different, almost with a mind of its own.

I am glad that I am scheduled in at my new job next week. Three months without work is enough.

Now I am headed off into the sub basement, claustraphobia and all, to find my boxes of books and other things I want near to me..

I don't have many more pieces to show you... I've given almost everything I've ever drawn away. I stopped drawing at age 17 when I joined the marines. Afterward, I married, and did not draw anything those 9 years. Years afterward, I took in a young married couple named Michael and April. I came home from work one day to find that April had been rummaging through my closets. She found my box of artwork, and wanted me to start again. I told her no. Didn't want to draw anymore. One thing about April - she never hears "no". She bought me a dipping pen and asked me to draw something with it. I had never drawn with a dipping pen before. I decided to draw the remains of a great horned owl I had found. This is the first picture I drew after a nearly 20 year layoff:

As you can see, I can't draw a straight line either - so I never draw buildings.  April then asked me to draw a picture of herself and Michael:

I've drawn a lot of stuff afterward, have given almost all of it away (to anyone who wanted it). Dr.Ward (who recently diagnosed me with Asperger's) told me to stop giving it all away. Some of it I still have pictures of - April got mad at me for giving it away without at least taking a picture of it, so I started doing that. I don't have much time for art - will make time for it one day. I've never had an art lesson - would like to learn how to do more, so may one day take one.

This is an example of some "playing around" I am doing - ideas for children's books I would like to write and illustrate (this is a picture of a bunny):
Image
(this is the closest thing I've ever drawn as a "nude" - as you can see, she's modestly hidden behind a rock...)

...well, it's nap time again. Two weeks almost done. Hope none of you are having a tough day  :

You work far too much, Chuck! Take some time and create.

Caution: This video made me jump when it started!

Chuck --

Very, very nice. The world lost a little bit of beauty the day you quit drawing.

Billard, I'm going to fish out a video of our Chuck in a few hours time and you will see why we all love him (and the women will not leave him alone). Also if you look at some of his posts from the cafe you will see that he does wonderful silver drawings.

This is a unique place. We have discussed what type of people continue and in the wise words of Sleepy Dragon we are a subgroup within the aspergers community.

Hey, I'm not even aspergers! This is the best place on earth and in cyber space as far as I am concerned.

Hi Hartz

Hi, nannarob. I've been on the phone for hours with my brother, instructing him on how to get power of attorney, since my father's condition has worsened. I am bracing myself for the worse. After all, Dad is 88 years old. Thank God his landlord is a gem, and has been looking after his car and apartment. The landlord's daughter, who is an attorney, has agreed to draw up the necessary papers for my brother, free of charge. My brother, who has ADD, is naturally overwhelmed with all this "legal stuff." Whereas I revel in it. So, he has been calling for advice and instructions. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Lurking.

Good luck, Hartz. I went through the same thing with my father. I wish you all the strength and positive experiences in dealing with this difficult situation.
