Not far off it. Much more rain and we'll be trading in the chariot for an ark. :o

It's not so bad if the rainfall extends westward into the catchment areas, but if it only hits the coast and runs straight out to sea, it's a bit of a waste.

I take things very literally and don't understand most sarcasm. I don't really "get" "The Onion", either.

A blessed poster topic

Thanks, blessedmom. I am just venting, I guess. I just got terminated from another job because i am physically too slow. Age has wearied me even more. Having AS has nothing to do with this; it's the dyspraxia, and arthritis. Very frustrating. I hope at my age it is not too late to try to retrain, though EI is not in favour of this approach. I am checking into Disability Supports to see if they can help me in the employment side of things.

The Onion is the least of my worries.

Thanks for responding. :)

The Onion is a satirical online paper - past headlines have included a religion story about a man who invoked the name of Jesus Christ Almighty several times, after hitting his thumb with a hammer; an op-ed piece on the dangers of electing Barack Obama president (after all, under President Morgan Freeman, the Earth was hit by a comet, and this time, we won't have the late astronaut Robert Duvall to blow up the largest chunk before it can kill everyone on the planet); and of course their weekly horoscope column.

I don't know if the column is made more funny, or less, by our exposure to people who really do think that way...

I have found the Onion to be hysterically funny, from time to time, over the years. Sometimes moreso than others.
