I don't really know how to start out....(Really hard-it took me an hour or so to pick an avatar. ) I've been struggling with numerous "Emotional/Behavioral/Mental/etc" conditions my entire life and it has all piled up over the past few years. Over the past year and a half or so I've been seeing some professionals and really letting some things out. Recently Asperger's has come up as a pretty much all encompassing answer fpr my questions about myself. Early next month I am going in for testing. I've been researching on my own and I feel rather gobsmacked by how much it mirrors me. I'm not sure how to feel but I'm glad I found this site.Glad to be here. (Side note-Why does the spell check try to fix "Asperger's" on an Aspergers board? )

That word is just so much fun. One word I wish I had a reason to use more often is"Magnanimous". So impressive sounding. Like it should be accompanied by an explosion. I am starting to feel more at ease the more I begin to learn and understand about my cognitive process. I almost feel vindicated. I really like it here already. Thanks for the welcome.
