Hi there.
A friend I grew up with has a son with Asperger's and as they learned more about his son, he realized he might have known someone else with Asperger's when he was growing up, me. It seems his son acts in very similar ways to the ways I acted at a similar age. I started doing a bit of research and found the page of someone with the disorder who was listing his symptoms and every single one fit me. I've haven't been diagnosed and I may be wrong, but it certainly seems like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle falling into place. I'm almost 40 now and struggling a bit in life, having fairly severe memory issues and socially inept, but possibly I can figure out how to address these issues if this is the root cause. I'm not really sure what to do next, but hopefully I figure it out. Thanks for this place, it seems like a good place to start.

I'm 40 and was diagnosed with AS at 37. So, I would encourage you to get diagnosed yourself. You will then find support and appropriate services for your needs.

My mother had every AS symptom in the book and she never did get help. It could have made a world of difference!
