My name is Patrick; I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome last December ('legally' diagnosed this April). I'm not really sure what to say now, I probably should have read similar posts first. On to the symptoms, then.
I have always had the "Little Professor" symptoms (very convenient, makes it much easier to write impressive-looking essays without really saying anything). I also have always had a fixation on certain subjects, although these change every so often. The earliest one I can remember is the game SimCity. This leads into another symptom, which is my affinity for routine. To this day, I physically cannot create a city any other way than in 6x6 blocks. I used to be a lot more sensitive to sensory input, but for some reason I no longer am. I could not get in a hot tub without feeling like I was being burned, and I used to get a migraine at least once a month without fail. Now, I only have two remnants of this. I have to really focus to hear people talking in a crowded area, and I can't drink hot chocolate when it's actually hot.
As far as the social aspects go, I am extremely blessed. The only major symptom is my inability to read body language. I have always had plenty of friends, and I am just quirky enough to be interesting rather than off-putting. I also have certain coordination issues. My handwriting is very neat and legible, but only because I write very slowly.
My current fixations (some will sound more impressive than they actually are) are evolutionary biology, programming, free speech (particularly how it relates to the Internet), and Pokemon. I am also currently interested in the autism/vaccine "debate" (I see no link).
I'm running out of steam, prompt me if you want to know more.
