So many new members all the time...I'm so gratified for such an active and accepting site.

I've checked in frequently here over the past several years but decided I needed to join to help advocate for my child (age 10). As he gets older, his needs grow and we have to reach farther afield to deal with questions and concerns. Hopefully the WP community will help me help him.

My son is bright, hyperverbal, thoughtful, creative, anxious, impulsive, persistent, rigid, obsessive, affectionate, hilarious and delightful. He is the child we were told we couldn't have, the one who arrived later in life, the one we had to rest up for. We call him our Vengeance Child. He is here--with a vengeance. He took the world by storm at the age of 3 weeks and hasn't stopped. He epitomizes the word "personality." We love him immeasurably and hope the world is ready for what he will bring to the discussion. It won't be boring.

I look forward to asking lots of questions and getting honest answers.
