Hello there, members of WrongPlanet!
Well, what's there to say about me? I'm not exactly the most interesting person in the world, so this might sound like your standard "hi-I'm a newbie!" fair. Sorry if it does and what I'm about to write bores you!
I'm Lamperouge, a nineteen year old female student from the UK, although I'm currently reporting to you guys from Navarra, which is in the Basque Country, situated primarily within Spain but also borderlines France. I'm here for a couple of days to learn some of the Basque language and then I intend go southeast out of the region to explore the eastern coast of Spain for two months! I'm traveling with my best friend, who is also on the autistic spectrum, which has proven interesting with the amounts of times him and myself have became unwilling victims of eaten travellers's cards, losing each other on the Métro and us attempting to cook for ourselves...oh dear.
I was diagnosed involuntarily with Asperger's Syndrome when I was seventeen and yet in spite of this my first recollection of knowledge into the spectrum disorder came from me visiting this site when I was thirteen, wherein I immediate gained some concrete suspicions as to me having Asperger's...then promptly forgot said reasons for suspecting as SATs and two GCSEs came around the corner! At the time, I didn't really want to be diagnosed- or, as I remember calling it, 'being labeled'. However,I was getting low gradess and looking back I can see why this diagnosis helped in the end, as the grades kind of skyrocketed and so did my confidence.
Now for the slightly more interesting part: As I said before, I'm a student; and I'm loving every second of it. I'm studying Hispanics and Medieval Literature, I'm going to be Vice Chairman {it SHOULD be 'woman'! Ha.} of the Spanish society the following September and I'm also going to be Communications Officer for both the Anime and Manga Society and the University Assassins Guild.
I'm a huge language geek, my current 'obsessed' languages currently being: Spanish, PA Dutch, Basque, Swahili and Japanese.
I love to read. In fact, of the 20kg luggage allowance I was allowed to take with me here, 11kg of it consists of books.
I'm an astrology fanatic, and I have been known to talk nonstop about constellations and repeatedly become 'a fan' of certain ones, such as Cygnus and Draco, on Facebook...much like the character in the new feature film, 'Adam'...except, to the best of my knowledge, Adam does not have Facebook.
I love writing. This might be obvious by the length of this post. >_< I also like kayaking, Ju-Jitsu and I'm currently learning the guitar. This counted as the 'hand luggage' of my flight, oddly.
Anyway, I don't want to bore you guys and gals anymore; that's enough from me. Later
Lamperouge x
