Hi all. I'm new here and so glad to have found it. I'm in my mid-30's and all my life I knew I was different. I've been called quirky, strange, a freak, shy, weird, etc. Now I believe I know the real name for what I am. I am not officially diagnosed. I'm waiting to get on a waiting list for a counselor, but I do believe 100% that I have Asperger's. It makes so much sense now. Everything I have gone through and do. It's such a relief to know what's going on.

hi! Welcome home! I was self diagnosed and went for a couple of years before I saw the wisdom of getting an official DX so I could get some accomdations at work. The beauty of that is if you already have the job and then you get DXed, it is not like you lied or anything when you got the job.

I'm really glad I found out about Wrong Planet. I've been lurking around for awhile, but now I glad to come out of hiding. I'm now ok with talking about Asperger's/Autism to other people.
