Female from Los Angeles, seeking answers.

I have long suspected I had a mild form of Asperger's but I am mostly here because my partner definitely does. I just finished reading a great book, Look Me in the Eye, and it answered some of our questions. Our only concern is that we can't afford any sort of actual diagnosis for this....I look forward to reading through the posts.

Welcome.... before we give you answers, you must tell us what your questions are...

I'll start the ball rolling with links to (a) the Aspie-Quiz

http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php

and (b) Simon Baron-Cohen's tests

http://www.autismresearchcentre.com/tests/default.asp

as you will probably find some of your own questions represented therein

Hello, Welcome to Wrong Planet.

I myself am a "mild case", but finding WP and just reading posts by people that seem to operate on a similar wavelength and think similarly to me is... for lack of a better word, refreshing and encouraging.

Hope you find what you're looking for.

Thank you all for such a warm welcome! I've been looking through posts and already I feel free to post, ask questions and interact with others...very new for me. I feel very much at home here.

I took the rdos [dot] net quiz and it told me, "You are very likely an Aspie"...well that answered a lot. Thanks for the links, RarePegs!

Looking forward to learning more...
