Well, some I got from that bill oehlke fellow, at least one of the lunas. His father sold me the 3 butterflies and I got 3 moths from another site. Giant silk moths don't eat when they hatch and live less than a week. Butterflies are more challenging. You can feed them a sugar water solution or send them on their way when the weather is warm enough. They can live for a few days.
Yup, I have synesthesia. Mine = smelling and tasting music, associating people and abstract concepts with smells, seeing colors in music based on the key of the song and feeling it on my skin.
