Favorite subjects: History, Music.

Year/Grade:

Favorite music: Classical

Books: Classic novels and sfi fi, some nonfiction.

TV shows/Movies: Firefly, Castle, Warehouse 13, History Channel.

Instrument: Not any more.

Do you like sports? No! I was the kid who was picked last and teased.

Family: Parents still living, a brother and a sister.

Clothing: T-shirt and jeans.

How did you find this website? Googled Aspergers.

Job: Retail sales, day job. Internet, latest job I went to school to learn only to find there is no market for the skills.

Plans for the future? Keep plugging along, Kay Serra.

Any comments? I think it is a shame we have to label everyone. We can't all just accept that different people are wired differently. Yet having a label to put on, has also been like a eureka moment, like a piece of a puzzle I didn't even know I was trying to solve fit into place. Explains a lot of things.

Being picked last is awful. I understand why it happened, but as a youngster I just hated it.

I know how that feels. I was also always picked last for teams when I was a kid, then verbally abused by the team that got "stuck" with me and then beaten up if they lost.

I was so clumsy and terrible at ball games I understand why I was picked last but it still hurt.
