Hi, I'm Lupine_Ragdoll and I'm a newbie here. :) I was diagnosed with AS when I was 10, and I suspect I may also have ADD, although it hasn't been officially diagnosed. My specialist subjects are DragonBall Z, Invader Zim, Starlight Express, domestic robots and pyschology (in particular AS and the phenomenon of feral children, and also canine psychology). So...umm...hi! I can't wait to start chatting with others with AS, and hopefully get to know a bit about others' experiences with AS. :)

T.C. Boyle in a collection of short stories called "Tooth and Claw" wrote a short story called "Dogology" about the acquired canine mindset of a woman who adapted to a feral lifestyle among the nieghbourhood dogs.

I don't know if you would enjoy it or not, but welcome to WP!

Ender, your "game" is weak. [lol at the Ender's Game pun.] Here are some better lines. They never fail:

Congratulations! You've been voted "Most Beautiful Girl In This Room" and the grand prize is a night with me!

Damn, I thought "very-fine" only came in a bottle!

Did you know that there are 265 bones inside of your body? {Wait for answer} "Yeah, and I could show you how to get one more?"

Didn't I used to always pull on your ponytail in grammar school?

Do you believe in helping the homeless? [If yes] Take me home with you.

Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?

Do you have a map? I just keep on getting lost in your eyes.

Do you have a mirror in your pocket? (Why?) 'Cause I could see myself in your pants.

Hmm... don't take that as the gospel truth. The girls I know wouldn't fall for most of those lines.

Of course, the sort of girls I know are the sort who were brought up in church and would probably fall most readily for something like, "Wow... you're awfully pretty." combined with a bright-red blush. It's funny, because most of those girls know an awful lot more about various aspects of human sexuality than you'd give them credit for; but they still fall for the gentlemanly, heart-of-gold sort of guy.

Hey Lupine. Good to hear you're a DBZ fan. Me too! I just bought 3 boxsets of DBZ. Watched almost one whole boxset the first night I bought it. It's all the ones from after Goku defeats Frieza to the end of the Cell Games. Eventually I wanna grab the whole series. I'm, ah, 22 and can't get enough of DBZ. I hear people reckon they have crappy graphics and storylines, and that may be, but they still rock my socks! Never too old for DBZ.

^ I think there like children "raised by wolves" or at least away from human interaction.

Feral children are children who have grown up or at least spent time away from human company, and have been raised either by animals, or have grown up in total isolation from human contact in another way. The stories of feral children are often very sad, but it's also fascinating to see what behaviour is instinctive in humans, and what must be taught by humans and in feral children is replaced by whatever species raised them. :)

And thanks for the welcomes everyone, and where did you get the DBZ boxsets from danlo, and how much were they? I haven't seen in so long since it was cancelled on Toonami UK, so I'd love to see it again! :)

I bought the boxsets on eBay. They cost around $88 each. I'm gonna get the whole series, eventually.

So 'Horst' the German boy who was primarilly sociallised by a pet would be a feral child?
His parents went down the pub too much and left him on his own with their pet dog, so he developed behavioural traits similar to a canines.

Yep, that would be seen as a feral child case. I've never heard of that one though, when was it? If you want to find out more info on feral children btw, there's a whole site about the phenomenon at feralchildren.com. :)
