howdy people,

my name's martin. been misdiagnosed with ADD since middle school, pretty much found out on my own i have Asperger's. i never really knew what it was until my NT now ex gf suggested that i might have it. i researched it and it made almost every question i had about myself so much clearer. like the fact that it takes me forever to study for something because my mind shoots elsewhere and wont leave. I hate social situations just because i hate having to talk, even though i want to...if that makes sense. conversations in person are hard for me whether the person is a good friend of 10+ years or someone i just met. i always just thought i was super awkward, though i knew it had to be something deeper. i always find myself saying (out loud) "s**t, i just forgot what i was going to say," even when i have nothing to say, as a time buying tactic to actually conjure up something to say and avoid the awkward situation i've put myself in. it should be noted that this usually backfires due to the fact that people expect me to actually follow up with it.

just took the aspie-quiz out of curiosity, i cant post links because i havent posted enough yet, but the results are pretty much all on the aspie side (9s all around), with barely anything on the NT side.
