Hello fellow Aspies!
I have been to the site before and have recently devoted more time to understanding the 'special world' in which many of us live. I was diagnosed about 4 years ago during college, AS + ADD, and unfortunately do not have health insurance, so aside from the initial visit, have not been able to have any therapy or the like. I frankly feel I can learn more from others/books/internet/online databases/journals than any neropsychiatric MD can explain to me in multi-hundred-dollar/hr sessions. Though, I would partake if I had insurance.
I grew up fairly low income, moved a lot, and had to figure out most of this stuff on my own, with no help from anyone or any understanding. It has been tough.
I came to this site because I find you people so wonderfully helpful and understanding, and wish we could get a big group of us together (oh wait, I might not want to go to that...... 
) I wonder if perhaps a tinychat session would be useful.
Just thought I'd take a moment to say hello.
