I'm still awaiting official diagnosis for Asperger's, but I seem to fit the stereotype in every aspect of the diagnostic criteria. I'm sixteen years old and have had a difficult time in school - people tend to 'take advantage' of the fact I take their actions at face value, which has led to a lot of rejection and confusion in both the past and present.

I'm not sure what else to type. I like Star Wars, reading [philosophy, Manga, fiction, dictionaries - anything], writing [essays and poetry, mostly], Chemistry, HTML and website design, most things involving computers, and grammar.

Also, I'm female. I doubt that is relevant at all, but I tend to be mistaken for a man on most internet forums, and I don't like it much.

The forum layout is interesting; I hope to find some interesting threads to reply to.

Salutations and various other greetings, I'd tell you this forum is great and all but you've probably been here longer than I have.

I'm glad that you got to be here. You said that you write poetry and others I write fictional novels only novels I'm not good in writing anything smaller than a novel. You'll read anything? What is your main thing that you are so very into? I'm into Final Fantasy series music and I'm not a Star Wars fan but I'm a Star Trek fan. If I had a lot money I would buy anything that is Star Trek and Final Fantasy series. I didn't really have really hard time at school doing the school work I mean I just never got along with my class mates. I just didn't say anything at all in school I had mostly few friends. I've already graduated High School and of course if you hadn't guessed it I'm male and 19. I hope things go well for you though. For some reason I find some my self becoming friends with people of my opposite sex then with my same sex. I'm engaged to a wonderful girl who has AS the same as I do. I hope things are going well.

Yes, I read things from most genres depending on my mood. I'm the opposite of you by the sound of it - I can never finish novels! I've got the beginnings of about six different books on my computer, but I can't ever find the motivation to go back to them. Poetry is an enjoyable pasttime because I can slot the words together pretty easily without over-thinking.

As far as my main interest goes, it's changed a lot over the last few years. Originally I was obsessed with Ancient Egypt, then the Reichstag Fire 1933, Slipknot [nu metal band. I never liked the music much but there was a lot of information to learn about so I absorbed those facts for three years], and now I'm into computers. I'd be more specific, but everything about them fascinates me - hardware and software in equal proportions, though for some reason I really hate GUIs and anything graphics-related. I'm still rather ignorant about most things, but I'm learning. Binary code is wonderful. I've been converting decimal to binary and back again all day for the sheer fun of it.

My boyfriend is a Trekkie and introduced me to Star Trek. I can't tolerate Kirk at all, but TNG's Data and basically any Vulcans are definitely great characters.

Edgar Allan Poe, mostly due to the poem "Alone".
The entire piece seems to reflect my personality, especially:
<b>"From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were; I have not seen
As others saw; I could not bring
My passions from a common spring."</b>

It's a slightly cliché choice of poet, but I don't mind that.
