You'll read anything? What is your main thing that you are so very into?
Yes, I read things from most genres depending on my mood. I'm the opposite of you by the sound of it - I can never finish novels! I've got the beginnings of about six different books on my computer, but I can't ever find the motivation to go back to them. Poetry is an enjoyable pasttime because I can slot the words together pretty easily without over-thinking.
As far as my main interest goes, it's changed a lot over the last few years. Originally I was obsessed with Ancient Egypt, then the Reichstag Fire 1933, Slipknot [nu metal band. I never liked the music much but there was a lot of information to learn about so I absorbed those facts for three years], and now I'm into computers. I'd be more specific, but everything about them fascinates me - hardware and software in equal proportions, though for some reason I really hate GUIs and anything graphics-related. I'm still rather ignorant about most things, but I'm learning. Binary code is wonderful. I've been converting decimal to binary and back again all day for the sheer fun of it.
My boyfriend is a Trekkie and introduced me to Star Trek. I can't tolerate Kirk at all, but TNG's Data and basically any Vulcans are definitely great characters.

Do you have a favorite poet?
Edgar Allan Poe, mostly due to the poem "Alone".
The entire piece seems to reflect my personality, especially:
<b>"From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were; I have not seen
As others saw; I could not bring
My passions from a common spring."</b>
It's a slightly cliché choice of poet, but I don't mind that.
