hi all

i just joined the site today and wanted to introduce myself. I have lived with asperger's all my life, but didn't get diagnosed until i was 14. I was in denial for a long time and i guess i still am. it feels like a curse and yet another obstacle for me to deal with, but eventually i hope to overcome it and enjoy life again. i also have major depression and that alone takes a lot out of me. i just need some answers, advice, and support, and i hope to get it here. that's all for now.

I am also new to this site. My son was diagnosed with Asperger's just 2 months ago and I am new to this world and am looking for support. Also curious if anyone else's child is obsessed with washers and dryers? How does this site work?

Well for starters, adrinaelaine, you will probably get better replies if you started a topic of your own instead of introducing yourself via a reply to someone else's topic. Its an easy enough mistake to make for someone unused to forums, though.
