Hello.

Not real big on talking about myself to others, but here are a few simple facts in introduction:

30-something Female

Washington State

I have just figured out what it was all my life that's made me so different from most other people: I'm an Aspie. I had enough doctors and shrinks and medical probing as a child that it honestly surprises me that someone other than myself did not suggest this earlier on.

Asperger's explains almost every difference I have observed about myself with respect to NTs and their ways of functioning. I can finally quit blaming myself for just not being that into people and socializing (and for not being able to understand how all that stuff works with any degree of mastery) and begin to genuinely accept myself as I am. No easy shakes, but what alternative is there?

I am glad you folks are here. I've been in and out a number of times over the last few months (without membership, which I obviously have now), and I am intrigued by the amount and quality of the information here.

I look forward to connecting with people who actually understand for a change.

Only resort that has or had a pipe organ I know of is on Orcas....Not sure about San Juan.

As a late comer to being diagnosed with AS myself, I can understand where you are coming from, particularly on finding it difficult to relate to other people. I wish I had had the answer to this so much sooner. Then maybe I could have coped with all the things in my life without driving myself crazy.
