I am 30 and have been suffering from a long term (life long) social anxiety disorder. I have never had help with this and do not have family that are sensitive to these issues and no friends (and happy about that). I am self diagnosed this way for ten years or so, but the last week or so I have been reading more about Asperger's and I seem to fit the description. I got 133 of 200 on the Aspie quiz.

I have decided to start Nursing school and am not sure how I will make it through and become a succesfull nurse this way. Also my older daughter is now in Kindergarten and starting to have friends so I am beginning to have to deal with teachers and other parents. My strategy of just not just not associating with anyone on a personal level is quickly crumbling under me and I really need help!

I want to see a professional, but I am not sure quite how to begin or where to go.

That is why I am here to seek a solution and steer my way through this thing. I probably have alot to contribute as well. I have been through many jobs, relationships and things with my "problems' has been very hard sometimes, but I am able to do things I was not able to before.
