Hello. I just found this site and still have not navigated through it a whole lot, but am planning on it.

I am 36 years old and since I can remember my family's, teachers' and friends' eternal question about me has been "What is wrong with you?!" It is still asked. I have always avoided people, but managed to live an uneventful life. I have a knack for remembering things that happened decades ago as if I am seeing them again right now, even things that I was no part of. PLaying games, instead of focusing on the game, I focus on how is that toy/ball/gameboard made and how it works.

Still avoid social situations, and when I have to be there, am always the wallflower and the first one to leave when nobody is looking. :)

I never understood the fascination with board games, but loved MOUSETRAP. I have no idea what the rules were, but loved setting up the mechanics and watching the ball make it's way through the maze. :P

First thing I do when I enter a social situation is stand near the door and watch for an opportunity to sneak out. I'm only there to be counted as 'present' so I can leave.

I See what you are saying about the games! I was fascinated by timers and buzzers on board games that required them.

Yep, when I go to a party/social situation the first thing I do is scout for the best place to make a discreet exit.

Thank you for the welcome everyone! I am glad I found this place. Reading through some of the threads makes me feel like I am around people who feel similar and have had similar experiences to me.
