How to make friends

Hi im an aspie. I understand aspies have trouble making friends. But what can be the first step?

You need at lest some "survival level" social skills, like being nice to other people and paying attention to what they are saying. The best advice I give to people is try to find someone how is also searching for friends and that has interests that are similar to your own. This is what Sheldon Cooper does at the "Big Bang Theory" he tries to find out what other people are interested in and then attempts to plan an activity that includes that interests (he goes rock climbing). This has worked for me sometimes, I used to go to rock concerts, and bars that played live music with my friends...
