Hi everyone! My name is Amy, I'm 22 and I live in Hobart, Tasmania. I was diagnosed a couple of days ago with 'high functioning aspergers'. It is SUCH a relief! I'm surprised and delighted to discover how it is more common than i thought and there is so much support and info available. I really want to meet some other people around the same age as me and to find out about your experiences, how you cope with having aspergers and what sort of work you are able to do. I would be so happy if there was someone else on this site who also lived in Tassie who I could talk to, so please drop me a line if you do! xxx

Yeah, that's one of those 'blessing and a curse' aspects - if it's something you choose - something that interests you, you'll have no trouble becoming an expert at it. If it's something someone else insists that you do, that you really don't care about, you won't be able to force yourself to do it at gunpoint.

Is that you in your avatar? If it is, you strongly resemble the actress Emilie de Ravin from LOST. Of course, Aspies are supposed to have poor facial recognition skills, so I could be wildly mistaken. :roll:
