Hello everybody. Albin from Sweden here.
I've been checking this site out every now and then for about six months.

A/S/L - 25 / Male / Sweden

Every time I visit I read about something that makes me think, "That could just aswell be me!". I am not yet diagnozed, but I will read up on autism and asperger's before I make the final decision to see a doctor. As far as I have understood, the diagnoze is pretty simple to get. Since you go to the doctor yourself, you must have given it serious consideration. Like coming out of the closet, you could say :)

I read some old posts about "weird stuff you know about". I couldn't help but posting this swedish poem. It sounds like old swedish, from the viking-era. It's not entirely jibberish, but not entirely like people would talk in everyday life.

Dit slövarg iddes trava,
nafsar än av döds namne

Dådseder vi delat:
rot kratsas, låts segra,
nederända putsas,
enad lämnas rasa oinrutad.

Där, vild av nävar,
gam av löv, Odins givne,
i modstort dån så for:

De svaga lovas dö fort;
ovän ska bestå.
Denne - munvig det give -
med spänne leder ni i trans.

Snart, i inre delen,
näps dem evigt!

Ed giv nu, men nedåt se:
bak snäv otro
- föds av olag, av sed ro -
fås nåd, trots dom i envigsnid.

O Völva, magra vän, vad liv,
räddat ur nio asars anmälda nesa?

"Stupad näre den arges stål!",
sa Stark-Tor, taled i vredesdåd.

En mans död.

Vanäras fana vart sedd i gravölstid.

Don't understand? No worries, the english version would sound something like this:

Where the lazy wolf dared to tread,
the person who shared the same name as the deceased still nibbles.

We have shared traditions of brutality,
the root is scratched, let us be victorious.
The lowest end is polished,
the united is left to rage without borders.

There, wild with fists,
vulture of leafs, given by Odin,
went in a thunder big on courage.

The weak are proimised a quick death,
the enemy shall prevail.
This one - given the grace of good speech -
with this buckle you will lead in trance.

Soon, in the inner fire,
they suffer forever.

Now give the oath, but look downward:
Behind you, narrow disbelief
- Born by misconduct, by tradition calmed -
Mercy is given, allthough they are in mortal combat.

O, priestess, my thin friend, what life
saved from the arms of nine viking gods will announce it's despair?

"We fell near the steel of the ones full of rage!",
said Thor the Strong, an oath spoken in deeds of anger.

The death of one man

The flag of the dishonoured was seen during the time of the funeral ale.

The funny thing about this poem is that it is, in it's totality, a palindrome in swedish! 8)

Hopefully I will feel at home here.
Thanks for watching :)

I love it! I didn't catch that it was a palindrome until you stated it!

Wonderful. :)

Hello, I'm from Sweden too, and I too have AS, although not diagnosed. Just thought I'd say hi :)

Skön dikt  Vet ej vad det är med Asperger och gammeldags språk men det tilltalar oss på något vis :)
