I don't drive, because I don't like cars, don't like the way other people drive.

It's expensive to buy and own a car (in Denmark we have I believe 40 % tax on cars when buying them).

I have poor eyesight, and a stiff neck so I can't turn to look behind.

So I never bothered to get a drivers license.

4) If you don't drive, why not? ----------- I didn't learn earlier because being a student, and later living in London, it just wasn't necessary.

5) Did you pass your license exam the first time? Third time. First wasn't ready, second was nerves, and I was fairly lucky to pass third time. Nerves, again. It took me a while to be really comfortable driving.

I was 15 when I learned to drive

Got my license at 21, on the 4th attempt

Only one traffic ticket, and two accidents (neither were my fault)

I took driver ed at 15 but didnt get behind the wheel of a car again until 30


My dad took me out to drive for about 30 min then I went to take the test and passed the first time


I never had enough money for a car before 30 and walked,bussed and biked everywhere in the city


I still have huge anxiety about driving and drive as little as possible...I hate it but hate waiting in cold for unpredictable busses in the middle of MN winters more.

I got my license when I was 16, on the second attempt. On the first road test, I just rolled through the stop signs. They deducted 40 points from my score for that. Go figure. My father and a guy I worked with taught me. Driving is expensive, now that gas is $3 a gallon, but driving is a necessary evil. Thankfully, I live just a few miles away from work. I do take the Portland MAX, however, to go downtown for the Blues/Jazz/Bones & Brew festivals.

13. I grew up in the countryside and my father learned me to drive his Volvo in a field and then on a private road.

18. You can't get a license for a car earlier than that in my country.

I do.

The practical took my twice, because I was nervous. The theoretical I managed at the first time.

I do drive,but can't say I really enjoy it.I tend to take
the train if its convenient and only drive when its
necessary.It's good to have the choice though !

No,4th time although I passed theory 1st time.

I found it helped to read books on driving skills and
learn basics about how the engine and all the parts
worked.I think it's easier if you understand why you are
doing something rather than just follow 'Do this,Do that'

4) If you don't drive, why not? Sometimes I like driving, sometimes I hate it - mostly because of how other people drive, it can be very dangerous and inconsiderate.

No, took me five fricken tries. But when I was 15 I passed it the first time but because I didn't past the written one I had to do it over but never did and because more than six months had gone by, I had to do the whole thing over and that meant doing the driver's test again.

I have almost no sense of direction, it’s really hard for me to pay attention to every thing at once (All the other cars, where I’m supost to go, road signs, ect.), expenses (car, insurance, taxes), and I fell guilty about using gasoline because it’s bad for the environment.
