and you all seem pretty interesting.

No idea if I have Asperger;s or something related to it but I suspect very strongly that I might. Was diagnosed with ADHD, inattentive- impulsive type at a pretty young age and have always suspected that I may have something more. At 25 years old I've begun to recognize some signs of Asperger's in myself since their has been more talk of it in the media and have seen a lot that I can relate to in these forums.

Well, I don't know exactly where my ADHD stops and my Asperger Syndrome starts, but since most aspies have ADHD anyway, I am sure you will find yourself at home here. The aspie friendship group of which I am a member (we meet once a month or so) has a few non-aspie members, two who have been diagnosed with ADHD and one who is a kind of spaced out friend of mine who believes he has ADHD too.

your user name is ace, I'm waiting for a ADHD diagnosis, my mum is very ADHD, my brother is very aspie, and I'm between the 2, tho diagnosed with various others, I go to an ADHD group and this week an aspie group, thought I would be too much for aspies as my attention and implulsive might get in the way but I fit right in, and the mental health nurse who picked up on the aspie traites, poeple that worked with him, where there

I never knew what ADHD was until I had my 2 youngest children who have it (the ex was ADHD -- whaoahhh... or something very similar.

I have strictly Aspergers syndrome... no hyperactivity.
I love my quiet time.
I can sit still for hours.
I like it very quiet, with a little tiny bit of background noise... except in my car, I've been known to turn Metallica and Alice in Chains, way up.
I like to be able to focus, and can do so, easily if there are no distractions. Many times, I've learned to tune out distractions.
I have a very one track mind.
I like everything in its place and clean.
I have a boring, mundane routine.
I am quiet as a mouse.

Then my two youngest children came into the world... and the entire world changed for me.

I love my kids...
