I've been reading wrongplanet forums for a couple weeks, i've been diagnosed with AS for about a month.

I've learned a lot of things about ASD that i hope will make life easier for myself and my loved ones.

My name is brad, I'm 24 and live in canada.

I've been feeling a need to help the autistic community; because i feel blessed to be so high functioning while many others may not be so lucky. at least that is my reasoning for wanting to help in part.

Hope i havn't rambled too much here! Hello again to anybody who reads this.

Hi, Brad. Welcome to WP. If you feel like it, a thread on how you feel or the stages of feelings maybe(?) since your diagnosis would be interesting. I'm sure others have some interesting stories in that regard, too. I've just undergone assessment, but I don't know how it's going to turn out, so I feel like I'm in limbo. Anyway, welcome!

@happymusic: I felt like i was in limbo before i was diagnosed and after i was aware of it as a possibility. funny thing about that is my psychiatrist said to me that i may never get a diagnosis, but then 2 weeks later i got it from my psychologist. Bit of a tangent there isn't it... heh!
